My dad was a bouncer at Studio 54 and saw Andy all the time. He said he was one of the nicest guys ever, always stopped to ask him how his family was, and was really genuine about it too. Like not phony at all. He invited him down to the studio as well but my dad never took him up on it because my mother thought he was a weirdo. Looks like he could have ended up with some valuable artwork too. Thanks mom!

I loved his enthusiasm. You see very little emotion on Antiques Roadshow. I couldn't help but smile, and get excited along with him. Seemed perfectly normal to me. Maybe I'm the idiot!

I have a story about Warhol, but not one where I met him. I live in Pittsburgh, and I told a friend of mine I wanted to go somewhere different. We drive alone and pull into a Cemetary, and I'm like, " What in the World are we doing here, haha". He said, " Just hold on". We stopped and he told me to look up, it was Andy's tombstone. It's just a small granite stone with black facing and all entries carved out of that. Nothing fancy, just a small stone. I stood there thinking about all the famous people who would have been there to bid him farewell.
