The reactions to this videos are great. To hear someone else showing passion for the songs we like. But there's somthing special to The Cost. I see a lot of reaction to The Cost songs and, one thing that I notice is band members commenting on the reactions. Like on this reaction Chris took his time to thank Phil for the video, reaction and comments. For me this is special. To have your idols being humble enough to thank the guys that are becoming more attached to this band with every single. So i say "NO CHRIS, THANK YOU... THANK YOU FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT MUSICIAN, THANK THE COST FOR THIS AMAZING PROJECT THAT MADE ME LISTEN TO METAL AGAIN WITH PASSION AND, MOST OF ALL THANK YOU FOR TAKING YOUR TIME FOR THE FANS WITH NICE COMMENTS". @Phil thank you for the reaction and your comments on this yet another great song.

@@hugoborges8757that’s not The Cost’s bassist. Chris’ channel is at chrisatwell. That said, Chris does comment on some reaction videos. He replied to a comment I posted on one.

Intelligent commentary on something that isn’t the Warning? Alright, I see what you’re doing there Phil. Nicely done. Thanks for the intro to this group.

Nice. You're very good at this. Then again, when a band is hitting you with high quality music that has you genuinely interested like this, I daresay that helps! :) I've already warned Chris that he's going to start getting pestered to upload bass playthrough vids if he keeps this up! Sadly, many folk spend way too much time & effort trying to stamp a genre label on music rather than appreciating & enjoying it. #FcukGenres #JustEnjoyGoodMusic p.s. any chance of you covering some Jinjer? I'm the dude who posted a reaction path for your first 3 Jinjer vids, but that was months ago. If you've given it a go & for some reason didn't enjoy it that's fair enough - just reply a "not quite my thing" or whatever & I'll let it drop. ;)

That's a great song, I've always felt attracted to music that takes elements from different genres and sounds coherent and smooth, I thought it was in a different time signature in those parts, making a 4/4 sound that weird is so cool, those guys are genious. Great video and analysis, good Phil always delivers! 🤘

LYRICS: It's a mistake to move forward and a mistake to move back A mistake to move left and a mistake to move right It's a mistake to move forward and a mistake to move back A mistake, a snake a snake a snake... Dream tonight We only see when the sky’s big & bright Go to the place where they meet stay out of sight Deep in a hole but we’re roaming in our sleep loaded to the teeth Cold and dark The thunder ripping the black sky apart Nowhere to run till they blow destroy the stars to liberate our homeland stay til we die. Born again a son, Together for the day Mourn again a sun To want a better way Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights Tape the wound The circling of the flies fills the room Needed to wait for the day they’ll be here soon We crawl around where the Bullets screaming past try to get out Alive and well Follow the order and climb into hell The shrill demented choirs of wailing shells To liberate our homeland, Stay til we die Born again a son, Together for the day Mourn again a sun To want a better way Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights Out on the broken land Our time to kill again marching through hell & sand When will we see the end? Out on the promised land Born and gone again Does tonight ever end? Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights Lie, lie in her eyes Morning lights.

Thank you so much for turning me onto The Cost. I am eagerly awaiting their next material and hopefully an album at some point. Their musicianship is top notch, I love how they draw from a wide array of genres and styles, and teaming up with Serj like this only makes me more excited to see what else they can do.

the general feel of the verse in the beginning is of that of a 3 meter on top of the 4 , what you'd call a 4 / 3 polymetric. The drums just go from a normal time to half time from the intro to the verse(on the snare), while the guitar and the bass drum are doing the accenting on the off beats to give this cool feeling. It's very headbangy

Been waiting for this one! This song hits on so many levels. The synergy between all three artists (and now Serj) has been a joy to experience, and these awesome reactions and breakdowns from Phil Zero are the icing on the cake! Been listening to some Valmuz recently and both the differences and similarities between Chris and Peter's work there and The Cost has been so interesting to explore. Cheers!

Such a different feel than the first two songs, but still so good. I was so happy to see them seamlessly blend with Serj and incorporating those System elements while still clearly being The Cost. Your commentary and analysis was fantastic as always. I loved the attention on the change to the snare rhythm. It's the kind of thing that I could tell something funky was happening with the rhythm of that transition, but I wouldn't have been able to specifically identify what was causing that feeling. I hope we get a fourth song (or a whole album?? 🤔) from your Best Friend soon! 🤞

Love the vocals in this! Peter does a great job on his own. But having Serj adding massively to the vocals as well, that's awesome. And thankfully Peters vocals are strong enough not to be a weak link. So the two of them really complement each other. And the great arrangement doesn't hurt either. Unfortunately I have a crappy musical ear, but isn't Chris also adding a third vocal line at times as well? Or maybe is it Serj or Peter who are multi tracked? Anyway I do feel that the stacked vocals do add some of the strength that also is the hallmark of The Warning. And that is those vocals and the arrangement of them is a fantastic addition to what the first two The Cost songs offered.

Anymore it's rare that I watch reactions to much else than The Warning. Angelina Jordan's IPSOY and some others will always get me, but I'm watching this just because: Phil Zero 🎯 ...of course I admire both Serj and El Estepario ✌️💖🎼

Another great tutorial on the COST enjoyed it completely however the bright works on the drums was very sparse in the mix it only came through with the bridge and chorus I imagine that was planned as to keep the tone darker for the story. What do you think?😂

And seeing them hook up with someone like Serj is great and they are getting noticed. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾* you should put the link to the OMV in the description as well not just hashtags*
