For anyone who is wondering what is happening at the beginning of the video, she is only mouthing the words (and/or softly singing them) up to the lyric "But you can never get my heart", which is where she actually starts singing the vocal we are hearing. (I love how she "pumps herself up" in preparation to sing that line.) Before that, we are hearing her vocal from a previous take. From her work in this studio (Bjerke Lydstudio in Oslo) at around this same age (6 or 7), we have a mix of complete takes and partial takes. The partial takes seem to be either opportunities to practice certain parts of the song that she is having trouble with, so she can sing them better in a future full take, or attempts to record a good, "final take" for only part(s) of the song (if you get the distinction I'm trying to make). This one seems to be an instance of the latter. Obviously she has already sung at least one previous take (probably all the way through), and now they are rerecording just the last part of the song, from the final line of the third verse to the end (based on her body language, I assume they started playback shortly before the video began - i.e., that this is not just part of a longer full take). Oh, and finally: did you notice the words on her sweater (or windbreaker, or whatever you want to call it)? They say, "Ruthless & Toothless".😄

Yea. Her grandma is right there recording and she's telling her with that thumbs up that she's got it. At 6? Reading at the same time? Knowing what she wants. Precious Angelina. 10 years later, she's on top of the world and higher then Everest. You'll soon see/hear why I mentioned Everest. Thanks for your reaction and commentary.

@@peterhormell1511 I would say her third language as she was brought up in Norway speaking Norwegian, learning Swedish with her father and then also English... Angelina mentions Santa in a video and says Tomten which is the Swedish word. She is immediately reminded that in Norway he is called Julenissen.

You can tell from the look on here face at the end that she was not at all satisfied with her performance. This is the first evidence of her determination to Perfect Her command of her Instrument!

For me the most astonishing thing is the progress she made from "Sky Fall" to "I who have nothing". Here she really sounds like a 6 years old, words are hard to understand, off key and off beat, but still very good for her age. She must have worked really hard to achieve the level of "I who have nothing" within that short time - maybe just a couple of month. This is real passion.

Up until now I have actually thought that the two performances were recorded the same day. But just like you said, there is a HUGE gap in level between them, so you may be right that they were recorded at different times. But I don't really think so. Would be nice to hear if somebody in the comments knows this for sure 🙂

There was a comment I read (someone) stated that the four recordings were made over a four month period of time. No proof just repeating what I remember reading. Maybe someday we will be able to ask

Angelina sings what she likes, and this song “Skyfall” was very popular at the time she sung this… at SIX years old. It’s a very difficult song for any singer of ANY age, but she was determined to tackle it. Of course her inspiration and muse, AND her grandma was right their to video this performance and encourage Angelina with a thumbs up. Angelina was no doubt responding back to her grandma (Mery Zamani). After Angelina won Norway’s Got Talent, Mery would go on and direct a number of Angelina’s early videos. Mery was a child prodigy herself, performing poetry and painting when she was six years old too. She still inspires and supports Angelina and is still VERY involved. She is the Executive producer of one of her latest videos, Angelina’s cover of Elvis’ “Suspicious Minds”. In that video, Mery managed to incorporate all FOUR of her grandchildren (including Angelina, of course) in the filming of the video. ❤️👣

Angelina is singing and reading the lyrics in English, which is remarkable at 6 yrs old; her native language is Norwegian! I believe she recorded "I Who Have Nothing" during the same recording session. Angelina is a remarkable young Lady writing and recording her own music at sweet 16 yrs old under the Republic Record label.

No problem here with off-the-main-track videos of Angelina. There's actually a heap of songs that rarely get featured for some reason, and I'll watch anything of hers. I'm pretty sure this recording was made before I Who Have Nothing. She looks younger, no more than 6, and still working on her dynamics. But the commitment! You can see it in her face - she means business and no messing!

Don't think she had time to cry. Was to busy practicing and learning to read. Reading and understanding English by five. Practicing piano, violin and flute. Studying music theory. No time to cry as she is watching talent shows and tells her mother at three she wants to sing for Simon Cowell.
