(Of course, I couldn't stop at three.) For the record, Nightwish didn't cancel their US tour; they postponed it. I'm going to the LA concert and the new date is next May, I think.

Apparently (Floor said something like that in a recent interview) they had to postpone it because they couldn't get visas (the whole "US not letting Europeans into the country because of Covid" thing). So blame it on the US government I guess?

You put the essential in the beginning....Every song by NW is kind of a journey and new book and world from mind of Tuomas where he invites listeners to enter. Maybe you know that Anette did that song on the album and managed well too. This is more powerful though and the visuality is so great. Before this concert NW has been there about 20 years already and got world fame by touring it round several times...so you are a bit late. I have seen Tuomas smiling many times...and maybe you can find him in Kitee with smile on his face too. I believe it is not long far away from your place. Every July they have an international fan summit there - see "KIMAF".

I just love when Floor goes all "Medieval", I think this is a prime illustration of the difference between Nightwish that sets them apart, they don't just "do" a song or performance, each and every member of this band feels, gets into and has a passion for each and every performance and it shows!!!

Prior to Nightwish this band was my all time favorite.Their guitarist Alvin Lee was the grandfather of shredding. Upon his death in 2013 Tommi Iommie of Black Sabbath said that without Alvinthere would be no Black Sabbath. Eddie Van Halen said without Alvin he would have never had tried to play fast. This a song that they did at Woodstock after which Jimi Hendrix said Alvin's playing scared the shit out of him. North America tour dates were postponed (not canceled). My Los Angeles date was moved from October of 2021 to May 2022. A lot could happen in those 7 months. Maybe even Marco will decide to return to NW by then (I keep hoping he’ll change his mind).

Since you love Marko, me too, I think you would love "DEAD TO THE WORLD" Live at Summer Breeze 2002 remastered. An awesome performance and song as a whole, but Marko's vocals especially towards the end, Marko at his best, strong and raw. Tarja is all smiles, happy days. 7 Days was written by Tuomas and Marko. I think Marko wrote a part of the music. I believe Nightwish has 100+ songs. Nightwish just did two festivals in Finland two weeks ago, 20 000 perople in both? But Helsinki Kaisaniemi Park concert that was supposed to be tomorrow was canceled. I live half a mile away and had a ticket, of course. The new day is December 30th. I also have a ticket to see Nightwish the previous day December 29th in Tampere, in a brand new venue Uros Live, capasity 15 000. (I spotted Tuomas and his wife Johanna yesterday afternoon in Helsinki near The Stockmann's department store. A tall handsome couple. Johanna is a bit taller than I thought. I saw Tuomas last September at almost exactly the same spot. At that time I dared to have a few words with him.)

It's also worth checking solo/side projects of Tuomas and Marco. I'd recommend videos titled "TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN - A Lifetime of Adventure (OFFICIAL VIDEO)" and "MARKO HIETALA - Stones (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)". The band where Tuomas and Troy play together with the wife of Tuomas, Auri is also pretty good. For that project video titled "AURI - The Valley (OFFICIAL LYRICAL VIDEO)" is a good start.

Marko's voice is higher in the mix when it's needed for this song. Floor does incredible high notes in the back when it happens.. and then when it comes to her lead voice the mix is inverted. It's called very very good mixing. The guy who does that live is excellent, and must be praised. Unfortunately I don't know his name. But excellent sound engineer. He's really good, it's subtle. (o:

Tuomas wrote this in anticipation of letting Tarja go. He knew there was going to be a backlash. Yet he underestimated how bad it was going to be. It almost killed him. Hence poet and the pendulum.

Another great reaction, have you heard Floor singing without Marko yet? Floor is singing her parts and Marko's parts on the high and difficult stuff, sounds great too. Jukka is a great bassist and is doing a little headbanging on stage with Floor while killing it on bass. Troy harmonizes with Floor on the lower stuff, he has a great voice too, just not as powerful as Marko or Floor. They still kicking ass.

One of the highlights for me is how Floor's voice mixed with Marcos voice. Which leads to my opinion is they still need to find another strong male voice similar to Marco. OR, write future music in another style to cover it up. Troy is not the answer as a front man. But I'm not sure that will make it better.

@@milton1448 It is all opinion, no right or wrong, I liked Marko a lot, and loved his harmonies with Floor. Their voices were very complimentary in harmonies and duets. The way they played off each other was so cool and fun. He left, and anyone they put in his shoes to cover his vocals will fall short in my eyes, and many other Nightwish fans eyes as well. Best solution, more Floor, she is the best vocalist in the world and I love where she picked up the aggression in the songs to cover his parts. The songs with Floor singing, even alone, awesome. Imagine if Jukka took up Marko's vocals, even if he were better, there would be resentment. I think he and Nightwish realized it, at some point maybe, but now, hell no I wouldn't take that gig, no matter how good my vocals were. Still not Marko.

@@alleninfinity6730 Allen, as you mentioned before, we'll agree to disagree. Floor needs a strong 2nd voice behind/beside her and Troy is not built for that. (not a knock on Troy- he's mostly a backup singer) That virtual show didn't rank up with their best work, for several reasons. It was lacking Marcos contribution and edge. I don't agree that he can't be replaced. Their sound needs it. IMO. Also as mentioned, maybe Tuomas will write in a different style with this current line up. I'm not sure Jukka is a long-term option anyway. Wasn't he a fill in?
