Hey thanks for the great video Buddy! I just ordered after watching your video from a dealer in Carlisle Pennsylvania so I am excited to see when they arrive for they are currently on back order ... I’ve had my 2020 Mojave since last July and my right hip is getting increasingly sore so I inquired what to do yesterday at the Jeep dealer I bought my truck from and the service fella recommended these so I called a place today that can order them and install them and hey maybe they will even be ready for my 48th birthday present to me June 26!!!! Hey thanks again for the video and I shocked the fella when I called back so soon to order and I told him I found your video on you tube and was convinced and just adore Emma!!! Your a fantastic papa!! My daddy always did that for me and I was in tears watching Emma work by your side just like I did with my dear Daddy... hey many blessings to ya Buddy and ya got another subscriber!!

The body mount bolts are a pain. 2 of the 6 will have red loctite that needs to be preheated to 500F before trying to break free. My mechanic struggled with these and one of the body mount bolt nut broke off in the cab so now it just spins. This job can go off the rails quickly. I chose to skip the stick on strip as I live in Minnesota and didn’t want the salt, gravel, and mud sticking behind it.

This is cool, when you do installs can you give approximate time of completion.....I know everyone is different and some people might be able to do this faster or slower... however i and many of us here would like to know how much time it takes.

I’ve had my Rock Slide Steps for 2 years and I’m starting to notice that they don’t retract all the way back in. It’s kind of a “Hit or Miss”, sometimes they do and sometimes they don’t. Has anyone else run into this issue.

well, it is useful but 2,200 $ is too much for it

That is just for the sliders. Skid plates are $600 and the light kit is another $70! $2870, WOW!!

Almost 3k IF you’re a handy person who can get it installed yourself, IF NOT I wonder how much more it would cost the labor...❗️😖

This was not a super easy project(6 year old??), definitely needed another person. Also, if you don't have experience pulling your door trim apart and running wires through the firewall to the battery, then you'll definitely face a big challenge. Took me and a buddy 8 hours, and I'm pretty handy.

was it not long enough and an extension was added? What's with the spacer? JL retrofitted for the Gladiator?
@davidcronin11384 жыл бұрын
They look slick as in slippery. Does the step have a tough anti slip surface? If it doesn’t, would there be enough space to add a strip of rough tape that people put on stairs It’s black and sticks well.
@rob_quadratec4 жыл бұрын
The drop down steps have grip tape already pre-installed from Rock Slide Engineering. You could add some additional tape to the top side of the sliders if you wish, but I actually find that I don't really step there often. When getting in and out, I only really step on the drop down step.
@mattbrew114 жыл бұрын
How much weight do the sliders + skids add to the Jeep?
@David_Nichols4 жыл бұрын
The only issue I have is you have to drill off their name plate and install rivnuts. That is a little too much DIY for the price they charge.
@rob_quadratec4 жыл бұрын
That's only if you choose to install the optional skid plates. The name plate is riveted to the steps for those that choose to use the steps without the skid plates. You simply have to drill the 2 rivets out so the skid plate will sit flush against the steps, the new name plates are already riveted to the skid plate from RSE. I only had to attach mine because I had them powder coated.
