It’s amazing, you can see it in their faces. They’re just taking it all in. One minute you’re playing in basements, finding a place to crash at for the night, and the next you’re being inducted into the Hall of Fame. I’m sure this was a “time flies” moment for them.

Well not exactly. He never owned a Fernandez he owns a Fernandez Copy which is just a replica of a Fernandez hense why the headstock is blank.
@drumsNstuff79
@drumsNstuff79 4 жыл бұрын
@@TippyJr1965 no it's a Fernandes. The headstock logo either worn off or was sanded off by it's previous owner. The previous owner also installed it's original hum bucker, with the angle. That's how you can tell it's not stock. The blue has faded to light greenish white from the lacquer over spray, as most old guitars do, especially cheaper ones like this. It's a Japanese made lawsuit era Fender Stratocaster copy. Late seventies early eighties. Similar to the Tokai , Greco and Ibanez copies. After the lawsuit companies could copy the shape of a guitar and style but not the headstock shape as that was trademarked by Fender.
@TippyJr1965

@@drumsNstuff79 nope you can tell the headstock isn't worn Fernandez instruments are high end they are about $300 to $500 his mother couldn't afford that and Billie showed a video of him playing it when he was 10 and the headstock was still blank when he got it

@@lewisreutlingen They're one of those groups that can take a simple-sounding song and also sneak in a ton of complicated riffs and drum fills. It sounds like a simple beat until you try and break it down, and making it sound so easy is part of what makes them great.
@theDMBchannel
@theDMBchannel 4 жыл бұрын
@@SuperJNG18 When you consider the fact that they turned four of the most common chords, combined with an incredibly catchy bass riff, I would also agree with your statement. What sounds simple consists of some intricate, thought out notes producing such a catchy song that has remained 'radio relevant' for over twenty years.
@JontyJeanes
@JontyJeanes 4 жыл бұрын
@@SuperJNG18 Not saying they aren't good or aren't well thought out, but those drum fills are really nothing special. Kids in high school can play more difficult fills. Again, the fills fit the song really well and I'm sure the drummer is more than capable of letting loose with some hectic fills if he wanted to.
