I first "met" Rush years ago putting together a Rush laser show in a planetarium. Opened with "Spirit of Radio" and at that first Rush logo and sound, our audiences went wild, week after week. I fell in love with their music then and never looked back on a pre-Rush life!! (My favorite, I think, is "Subdivisions." Can't help but dance and sing along. Long live all three, on either side of the Garden!)

I read the comments and i had to share. I missed the chance to see rush perform back sometime between 2008-2012 i cant recall exactly. But was living in upstate New York and they performed 45 mins away from where i lived at the time. Old co workers had tickets to a show but i missed the phone call that they had tickets and wanted me to go with them. Im finally able to call them back and they had to bring along one of our other co workers, who wasnt even a rush fan and nearly got them kicked out the venue rush was performing at. Smh till this day i think about it. For the life of me i cant even remember why i missed the call that would of ended up being a life changing experience that was much needed cause was going through some life issues. But yes i am sadden as well. 😭

I can live without the high notes. I've rarely loved a song solely because the singer sung "high notes." I saw Zeppelin before and after 1972. I never cried that Robert couldn't hit the high notes. But others cry and bemoan that. Their loss. Zeppelin was one of the best bands to experience live.

I don’t know why people think that range lasts forever. Your voice really has limitations as you age, especially high notes like that. You can tell Geddy is a talented singer because he’s able to work around his limitations and still nail it every time. That’s the part that makes them so awesome

Am not a Rush fan but there’s no doubt they’re one of the best rock n’ roll bands; and to think it took this long, and “of some of the inductees” selected by the R&RHOF in past years, is puzzling. Well done, Rush, you’ve earned your place in rock n’roll history, without any questions.

1975... it started for me back then. I mowed tons of lawns to buy the 3 in one album lp "Archives"... I'm 57 yrs old now in the year 2021 and still love them more than ever. Hats off to the band. Bow to the fans.. and forever grateful to our lord for his timing for myself to be on the planet when they started their journey.

What I truly appreciate about Rush was that they weren’t in it for the fame or glory - they were 3 Canadian guys who wanted to make the best music they could. By far, they have got to be one of, if not the most underrated, yet influential band of all time. Thank you Rush, and to Neil, the likes of whom we may never see again.
