One of my favorite Bobby Hatfield stories. One night here in San Diego. I was getting autographs and talking to them both. They were at Humphries, an outdoor stage setting. I told Bobby that the women in the crowd always loved it when he would added an extra "Please" when he did his exchange with Bill. So he said "thanks I'll make sure I add it tonight." Watch the "exchange" around 2:45 where Bobby sings, "Please, Please, Please" and adds a smile at the end. Priceless. They were the BEST.

@@stanleycrim That was according to BMI. Over 8 million plays on radio and TV in the twentieth century. Now counting this century, way over 13million. Pretty good, for two guys from Orange County, Ca. Eh?

Evan hello .... Please see my other comments on Bobby and Bill. I've been a fan since 1963... I've seen them 40-50 times + after that many concerts they get to know and remember the real dedicated fans - I am one of them. This version is a "gem." It is the last "live" recording of this song - which the Rock and Roll HOF asked them to sing. It is a hard song to sing when your 62 years old - but they nailed it. I am glad I was born in 1949, Bobby and Bill - were the BEST !!!!!!!!!
