The other Mekotronics device (without a screen) that he reviewed a couple of months ago can be purchased on AliExpress - but even without the screen, they are hideously expensive.

Can it record from hdmi in? It might be useful as a budget stream creation device. So if you buy this and a cheap hdmi camera can you stream to youtube?

It could make a really nice cyberdeck with a flip-down keyboard and getting rid of that Android rubbish in favour of Linux - but it is still hideously overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, this is the problem with these kinds of "specialised" builds of computing devices - they're not going to be manufacturing these in huge amounts and therefore the manufacturing cost, and subsequent retail price, of such devices is going to be that much higher.
