Well done. Rain is a tough one for me. I need to get the right clothes. I am embrace the wind. It is just like riding up a lot of hills. Plus I get to turn around and then it pushes me. I rode in some 40 to 50 mile an hour wind gusts last week. That was a little scary. Lol. But fun. Ride on.

For some reason heavy wind give me a headache. It’s been that way since I can remember. Even just standing. Idk why. Yeah, good rain gear is important. The right layers makes all the difference 😊 Ride on! But stay out of the 50mph winds! Haha

I like the changes of the seasons but cold rain? Kudos to you for doing it. I think I only deal with cold rain if I get caught in it or I’m traveling. I literally just did something else today because of the rain. I’m going to try and embrace a little more going forward…prepared myself with the fenders and some clothing.

I have to be consistent and cycle daily, no matter the weather. I’m not in the shape like you. I got years and years of neglect to make up for! 😊 I’m sure you will ride Festive 500 again this year. Probably going to rain some of those days after 24th. Minus we’ll start embracing it now! Haha thanks 🙏

From childhood we are all programmed to find a puddle stomp in it…..besides, the bike rolls smoothly in the wet..even if the brakes don’t work….

Wind is welcomed or for me makes you strong Hills and wind the more hills and wind you ride the stronger yiu get i ride year round Minnesota even below zero snow don't matter i ride. One thing that i hate is rain and snow makes more maintenance for me snow ain't bad but rain .can be different depending on the conditions of the rain. Dries chain out and can wear on your bearings also head tube bearings i cover my whole head tube with garbage bag an tape when i ride rain. I use a sealed shimano deore external bottom bracket helps also. Who all rides snow and winter ? For me winter riding is prob my best time. It can be cold but i enjoy the challenges snow ice and cold is fun for me i know I'm weird haha 😄

I bet a lot of people buy Patagonia and the like, just for the label or style. & feel good about walking 20 feet from parking lot to office. I buy and wear for the function. You're right. Let's ride!

Warm and wet is fine. Cold temps and rain is a great way to get sick. No thanks. I ride in high winds all the time on coastal Cape COD. That’s plenty tough. When you ride a recumbent trike your butt is 4” of the ground. No fun.
