Reminds me of an old Coca-Cola commercial. You completely missed the vers on "36-24-36", The next line in the song you skipped where he says "ONLY if you're 5'3"." Meaning he's not saying those measurements are "the ideal" unless you're shorter than 5'4". This was a great song that really did hit the radio waves and challenged body stereotypes of the 80s. And i very much remember lots of women having discussions because growing up in the 80s, in white America, the "ideal white bodytype" men would say by doing a motion where they held their pinky's together and extended their thumbs. That width was "the ideal." This was like a hell no to that. And lots of women like that because the "ideal" was largely unrealistic even for people who were in shape. Keep in mind, A few years Later Jlo would get more famous. into the 2000s you have Beyonce getting more crossover appeal and butts are now getting more attention. It's a whole evolution. But this song flat put it out there in a fun way.
