When you install it on the car, check the inside of the rotors when you start driving. I had some calipers rubbing on the rotor issues. Same SRS kit.

you noted that you used a raised subframe bushing. Did you use a offset differential bushing?

Hey man just came across this video again. The SRS page says nothing about the z4 hubs, did you have to modify something or space out the rear brake disc? I just went for the rear compact calipers with a e36 325i disc grinded down to 272mm (z4 hubs also) but this option seems quite a bit better.

Imagine going in to the parts store and saying you want 325 rear discs and the guy is like "what's the VIN?"

Like that old Johnny cash song. But yes I have to construct a list of all the combinations of different parts so that I don’t lose track myself.

IMO good move not running the eccentric trailing arm adjusters.
@zambuzan5 жыл бұрын
y not
@Northern_5 жыл бұрын
@@zambuzan The eccentrics are made for a static joint on the front of an E39, when they're put in a dynamic joint on the e30, they tend to move and lose their alignment. IE makes "posi-lok" ones with teeth, but reviews of those are critical of how coarse the adjustment increments are.
@zambuzan5 жыл бұрын
Northern gotcha. Well garagistic is coming out w a “shim” kit that essentially sets a static adjustment with the eccentrics, might be worthwhile in the long run. But from what I’ve read, merely raising the subframe is a lot better for street cars anyway.

Is there a specific year or mode of e46 needed for the calipers on 5 bolt conversion?

Gave me an idea how to do it can E36 brake disc and calipers and hub work on the E30 or does it have to be a z4 hub

Are you going to seam weld the chassis?
@EuroGarageOfficial5 жыл бұрын
wurmhole no. You don’t seam weld a road car. It’s dangerous.
@Vaabuss5 жыл бұрын
EuroGarage Youre not tracking it? No structural foam or anything? Still a wonderfully thought out build with the brakes and reinforcements. Enjoy seeing more
@EuroGarageOfficial5 жыл бұрын
I will track it. And it will be getting a proper half cage. But tubing the front, stitch welding etc should be reserved for cars you’ll always be in full saftey gear to drive.
