The incubators have a bug I have encountered many times. Basically, if you continuously incubate an egg, and at one point click "Remove", it just removes the current egg and dupes will deliver another egg sometime later (probably after reload). Incubator shows "no egg selected" but it does that. I couldn't find a workaround to that so I just deconstruct and reconstruct the incubators. Also, the bottom farm tiles on the bottom flox ranch are not insulated from outside, maybe that's what wilts them?

You don't have the upper steam turbines set up to extract steam as water from the chimney. They're using the same design as the lower ones, where it just extracts heat into a self-contained loop.
@TheMalT7519 сағат бұрын

I'm not so sure. Bottles carried by dupes still exchange heat in transit, only phase change is blocked. So dupes would most likely deliver bottles of H2 and O2 that would instantly boil off in the bottle emptier, or its first pipe segment.

Crazy suggestion to "fix" the steam-extraction snafu of the rocket chimney. Build a 10-block-high side-tunnel with an overflow-lip at the top and put a brute-force cooling loop set to -2°C in that side-tunnel. A lot of steam at the top will condense and flow into the main "water tank". You can keep the CO2 in your base by an overflowing liquid lock. Some steam will escape to the vacuum of space, sure, but condensation will create a vacuum, too, so for a high tunnel that should net you at least 50%, right?!? This solution has the added benefit of getting rid of a lot of steam turbine power and you don't really want to collect 95°C water only to brute-force cool it later on, right?
@Taliseth15 сағат бұрын
Funny how they fixed neutronium shaving, but left the buried planter pot thing in, out of the 2, neutronium shaving seems much more niche. "oh bugger" --> Ah blueprints, brilliant tool just have to be careful or it will cause lots of fun extra clean up (on top of the normal messes you do when planning/building)! Just be happy it was the power transformer overheating, I've done it with 2 steel aquatuners at the same time they get hot pretty fast without a cooling medium, turns out molten steel will happily chew through alot. Noticed it when a "building has melted" notification showed up, it didn't even have time to break from overheating they just straight up melted :D

@ahmataevo22 сағат бұрын
I don't see how you're getting water out of the rocket chimney. I might see collecting water from the bottom using steam rockets, but there's now way that setup will work for petroleum or hydrogen rockets - it would never cool that steam enough for it to condense. This design is very different from your first rocket chimney which pulled the rocket steam directly into the turbines.
@andreastyrberg75567 сағат бұрын
Have thought the same. Soon he will remember - or it magically works to our suprise
@deathdealer6464 сағат бұрын
If I recall from his older videos, the rocket makes more steam than water you put into it as long as you have a big run way for it as it leaves. You then route the output water from the steam turbines into your water tank as the steam turbines eat the steam the rocket made. (Edited now that I've watched more of the video, yeah idk he's just doing heat Injection that doesn't make water...)

What about pre-chilling the igneous rock pipes of the liquid hydrogen and O2 with supercoolant? since the first packets are always the problem, use a buffer liquid to absorb the heat. The two pipes are side by side so they can be connected into a loop to be used with multiple aquatuners. I'd let them pump the heat into the gas background because it's really temporary. Check how much the temperature changes from the beginning to the end of the loop. if the temperature start and end temperature is greater than (current liquid Hydrogen/O2 temperature -minus phase change temperature) than the pipes will burst.

@znconКүн бұрын
The amount of steam to launch a rocket is totally unconnected to how much steam it belches out when it launches. While traveling the length of the chimney each stream rocket will release a huge amount of steam, easily 10x what went into it. The cooling captures that and converts it to water.
@tomcox198323 сағат бұрын
The mass of a rocket's exhaust increases the longer it takes the rocket to fly off-screen. With a long rocket tunnel, there's far more steam produced during liftoff than is needed to fuel the rocket round-trip. This makes each launch net positive for water as long as you can keep up with sucking out enough heat to condense the steam before it escapes to vacuum.
@ahmataevo22 сағат бұрын
@@zncon - It looks built wrong though. There's no way for the steam to be absorbed by the steam turbines as the steam chamber is completely cut off from the rocket chamber.
