NaCl (salt) + H2O (water) ------ NaClO3 (sodium chlorate)+ H2 (hydrogen)
Table Salt can be converted into a Powerful Oxidizer by Electrolysis of concentrated solution of Salt Water, the water molecules breaks down and the Oxygen gets attached to the Chloride ions and makes Chlorate ions. and by mixing this Oxidizer with a Fuel, we get a Rocket Propellant. the device is called a Chlorate Cell and it converts Sodium Chloride to Sodium Chlorate, this cell needs specific parameters to work, and only few materials can be used as the electrodes.

Please do NOT try this yourself, it's not so simple, you will get Toxic Chlorine gas

I was going to make it, but after seeing this comment and thiking of how many papers you have read (the papers you use on the video), realized that it would be a bad ideia doing it without knowing shit on safety about toxic gases. Thank you for this warning :).

Remade the old video ? I remember the first video I watched on your channel being of making rocket fuel from salt and sugar :D

Nice video bro. If you want a rocket that actually produces thrust you might need a better design. A paper tube can work with a clay plug at one end with a hole in it. The smaller the hole the more thrust you'll get (though if it's too small it'll turn into a firecracker). Turning the rocket fuel into a fine powder helps also so there is an even burn. Depending on how good your rocket fuel is,, you can either have the rocket full of fuel or have it in a "donut" shape. It will take alot of testing but a design similar to on my video should work

I tried this but my sugar was too fine to burn properly, great experiement if you you what you are doing! I think the mixture would be better if it was made into rocket "candy" or is sodium chlorate too unstable to be melt with sugar?
