Good playing! You nailed the EJ style for sure. I noticed two details in the song that I’d add. First, in the verses, the first time around he plays C9, and then C11 the second time. You played C11 both times. I really love the contrast between the two. The E natural in C9 makes it sound really cool. The C11 (Bb/C) has a little bit more of a tense sound, which leads to the chorus buildup. Second, in the chorus, Elton plays a C7 on “I’m a rocket man”. Playing a regular C major triad there just doesn’t have the same effect, give it a shot and you’ll see what I mean!
