I like the look of the early STO designs and the finless design gives it a sleek look.

I do remember the presentations that Jerry Pournelle gave at the LASFS ( Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, Inc) on various programs of the day, including the DC-X program and the Rotary Rockets Roton. Although he may not have had direct involvement in the programs, he did have connections within the aerospace industry, so he was privy to a lot of information. On one occasion I just happened to bring with me the Quest DC-Y Space Clipper model and it ended up being used in one of his presentations as a visual aid.
