this years look on how the heater has performed over the last year and news about a new small hybrid rocket stove I have just built which has exceeded my expectations.

I built mine shortly after you built yours. Because of you! :) Can't believe it's been that long!! I've used mine every winter to heat our house. I used a 6" heavy wall steel pipe for the riser, still the original, and removed the fire brick after the first winter. Without the fire brick it's waaaay more efficient. The only thing I would have changed is make the fire box a bit bigger to accept 16" logs better. I would like to say a BIG Thank You for helping us save thousands on heating bills over the years. Oh, btw, the pipe I used for the riser, was seconds. We found out that the sub grade of pipe was actually more wear resistant than the good pipe.

Hi Bud, its great to hear these comments off people who built this stove, also great that you found a steel pipe that works well one thing I could never source here. I agree a bigger firebox would make a big difference just have to be careful with the ratio on the riser, I think if you can have a much taller flue that also helps alot with the draw, I am very limited with my shop roof height. . @@Rose-f2t I originally cut the bulk of it out on a $90K CNC plasma table and out of habit, I deleted the files after I was done, since it was a one off. We did a ton of one off stuff. If I get time I might redraw it again in CAD.

No problem mate, really glad this stove has helped so many people who have built it its well worth updating just to show its longevity. The new stove is so much easier to build and I think very scalable to heat a much bigger space. Cheers.

Hi loz. I build the same stove you have in the workshop. Its based on earlier videos you did. It’s in the sitting room in my house. It heats the whole ground floor easily. Just have to use some small fans to spread the heat evenly. Very happy with it. As a woodworker I save a lot of money on heating. 👍

To be able to open the stove to start or reload with little to no smoke in the building AND to have little to no smoke out the chimney, for the benefit of harmony amongst the neighbors, is quite the feat. To keep a good portion of the heat in the building the 1 2 3 of wood heat. I am interested to watch more of your videos, Thank You.
