Great case! I didn't quite understand the last part of the case where the candidate has done mental math. How did he approach this part? Any dissection of his analysis?

I did that math where the savings for the Group is $144 million and the cost will be $230.4 million. So there is no point in expanding to that segment.

Hi there. When talking about the structure he didn’t include anything about the implementation that was mentioned when he was given the prompt. Is this standard?

The implementation would be possible only if the financials make sense. The costs of implementation are estimated in financial bucket.

Good things : 1) Was to take the first insight at hand -> translate to action item for solving the case. Diabetics population could be targeted. Caters to the 'What steps they should take ?' objective of the case. 2) Drive the case towards revenue generating potential and the cost side of things. Some minor areas of improvement for the interviewee: 1) While asking for data, he should have directly jumped to customer segmentation w.r.t disease. Time was wasted in the first 2 points. 2) Exhibhit 1 insight: He could have provided his hypothesis regarding what he think group and individual is. Given that he is ex-LEK which is healthcare consulting, these connections should come right off the bat.

In the cost calculations for the coaches. We are told that wach coach can see 8 patients a day and work for 25 days PER MONTH. This equals 200 clients per month. Why would we not multiply this by 12 months to 2400 clients in a year? This would mean leas coaches are needed to deal with cohort of patients per annum and their corresponding cost of 72000 is reduced. There are a dew things with this calculation i dont understand

I presume the coach checks in with each of their patients 1x per month. So each patient has 12 engagements with their respective coach

Because each coach has to call the same patients every month. So, it will say 200, not 2400.

I think the point here is to show your analytical skills even if the answer is not 100% correct.
