First time checking out your videos. Good tutorial. I had a couple questions after having read the rules, which you answered most of. Subscribed.

Awesome, just discovered your channel and subscribed. You have a very natural way of teaching, really like your style and editing. Love the close ups on the card. One thing: the solo mode is a big deal to many who might purchase this. I wish it wasn't glossed over by reviewers as much, also it should be noted in the beginning when it says 2-4 players. This is in no way specific to your channel though. Just got the game and looking forward to it :)

Agree about the solo mode! That's actually my mistake listing it as 2-4, it should be 1-4. Luckily the solo mode uses most of the same rules, there's just some additions to do with the automated A.I. Thanks for the kind words and for subscribing! Much appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the video ! Just a question from France about that great game :-) Is it possible to set many boosters cards with the same name on the launch pad ? The rules talks about an impossibility to set "assets" cards with the same name, not "boosters" cards. Thanks !

That was a fantastic teach. I have one question though, as a friend and I played this for the first time tonight and really struggled (it was late, and we'd been playing games all day) - when you succeed a mission, what happens with the mission card. Is it permanently removed from your deck?
@AllYouCanBoard3 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew, thanks for the comment and the kind words! When you complete a mission, it goes to your discard pile! It doesn't get removed from the game. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any other questions! -Dylann

@@AllYouCanBoard thanks for the speedy reply, but reading the rulebook on BGG it seems to state you place the mission card in your junkyard (so effectively out of the game) after successfully completing a mission. I'd hope your comment is the correct ruling because otherwise it makes some missions totally unviable as you'll be removing important symbols from your deck, used for helping you buy stronger cards and improve the likelihood of success with missions to the Moon and Mars. This is exactly what happened to me tonight and my game essentially ground to a halt so we just aborted the entire game as a wash.
@AllYouCanBoard3 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, sorry! You're actually correct, on double checking the rulebook, the mission does in fact go to your junkyard (removed from the game). I imagine this is supposed to add extra weight to the decision of which mission to launch as you need to make sure you're leaving yourself enough icons to launch further missions, but also this prevents you from using that particular mission to go to a different planet. I hear what you're saying though, there was more than once instance where we felt that the game was overly punishing and even if it didn't completely grind to a halt for us, it sure got close! This was my first Martin Wallace game though so I'm not sure if that's perhaps a consistent theme with his games or unique to this one. Sorry for the confusion!

@@AllYouCanBoard this was definitely a unique experience for me, but after 2 hours and me only managing 1 successful mission to Earth, it wasn't a particularly pleasant one. I would try it again - now I realise the importance of mission selection, but I'm not chomping at the bit. Shame, because I adore Brass: Birmingham (obvs, being a Brummie), Lancs, AuZtralia and Wildlands, have Tinner's Trail backed on KS and A Handful of Stars sat on my shelf of shame - you could say I'm a Wallace fan! 😆

Great material! Shame about lack of solo rules explanation as game actually is 1-4 players. But you just got another subscriber! Keep up good work!!!

Thanks very much, glad you enjoyed it! And although this doesn't go in-depth into the solo mode, I can say that with this knowledge, you're about 95% ready to play it. There are just some rules involving a solo deck of cards to learn, but beyond that, much of the rules remain the same! Thanks again for watching and for subscribing!

When did the moon become a planet.
@AllYouCanBoard3 жыл бұрын
Did I call it a planet? It wouldn't surprise me, I probably did. 😂 Maybe we can pretend that Rocketmen takes place in a fictitious alternate reality where the moon is one of the planets.

Not even an opinion on the game? This game is getting hammered with negative reviews on bgg. Your video doesn’t sway me one way or the other. Why not devote a minute to say if you liked it or not?
@AllYouCanBoard3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, this was just our tutorial video but we actually released a video recently where we cover 6 game reviews and Rocketmen was one of them so you can find our thoughts there. We generally keep our reviews separate from our tutorials so people can hone in on what they're looking for. Thanks for stopping by!
