Jenny Hval, I think what characterizes these people is the fact that they are capable of sharing very intimate states, the capacity of being so open, without feeling any intrusion. I think this is also what makes their art powerful. I think Jenny evolved so much of her Rockettothesky experience, which i appreciate much less. While i feel deeply moved by her last work. Thank you, Jenny. Really

this notion of rearrangements of senses and body parts is found throughout her shit (c.f. Cigars; Is There Anything on Me That Doesn't Speak; Amphibious, Androgynous; That Battle Is Over; Sabbath; and probably a lot more I'm not thinking of now!), which seems to be predicated in some sort of hyper-awareness of the condition she finds herself in, i.e., inside of a specific body: a condition we all find ourselves in but probably most are not quite aware of the contingency of our subjective experiences.

Fantastisk! Urovekkende interessant og fantastisk. Kjørte over finnmarksvidda - i arbeid med et filmprosjekt da blood flight dukket opp på radioen. Viddene strekker seg ut i uendelighetens horisont som den australske ørken gjør det. Rachel filmet mens vi kjørte - og det ser vel nøyaktig slik ut!
