This is without a doubt my favorite episode of the Rockford Files. There is a scene where Rockford is berating Angel going on and Angel just looks at him and just says “Because we’re friends.” Favorite series of all time, Garner was a class act.

Stuart just had that way of speaking. That slimeball "Street" cadence. Just the way he spoke his dialogue. Very subtle but the accent of someone with no education other than street smarts. He was brilliant in that role.

I stopped watching television in 2013. I’m sure it’s even worse in 2021. Yes, stuff like the Files can’t be made now, the creativity and originality is now all gone. But we have the complete box set and online videos to enjoy this priceless show.

From a time when actor's were actor's not activists pushing an ideology or adgenda, true professionalism. The calibre of talent was second to none. With the true gems being Jim's interactions with Angel, or Police lieutenant's.
