hey Crutchfield im having a problem where the bass cuts it only started today and ive had the same tune in the car since i got the subs when ever the bass hits it cuts off every fuse is good and i cleaned the terminals but i have not messed with the ground could that be one of the issues?

I have a stock Ford F-150 stereo. If I add this unit to my truck I have a question about the speaker hook up. Do I leave my rear stock speakers hooked up and then tap into the speakers with the spliced end of the RCA hook ups? Or do I buy a LOC and tap into the stock speakers and plug the RCA into the amp unit?

Sounds like a great setup! You can use the sub's rotary gain control knob to set the input for 3V and then use the included wired remote and/or your Alpine radio's sub controls to adjust the output levels from there.

I will be purchasing one of these and using my factory speaker wires as the signal to turn the unit on and off. Instead of cutting the off the RCA ends and splicing in speaker wires, could I use something like the Morel MPS-HL RCA adapter instead? If this is an option and I were to use an adapter, would I want to set the input level switch to Lo or Hi? Thanks!

If you plan to use the Morel MPS-HL RCA line-level adapter when installing the Rockford Fosgate P300-10 powered subwoofer, select the LO level input setting on the powered subwoofer and choose the AUDIO setting for the auto turn-on feature.

That feature is actually one that makes this subwoofer easier to install to any system. Simply stated, its a way to turn on the powered subwoofer without having to track down a 12V trigger wire which stock radios typically do not offer. Instead of the 12V trigger wire, it can be turned on by sensing when music starts playing.

The low level RCA is preferred, but you can certainly wire in the high level tapped off a rear speaker. You’ll want to cut the RCA jacks off and splice the harness to the wire from your speaker, and select the high input switch. And yes, power from battery or fuse box, and ground to unpainted bare metal of your car.

Hello, I just installed my p300-10 but the blue light stays on after turning off my radio. I set it to audio, but the light stays on. At first I did not connect a remote wire, but then tried tapping the wire into my rear speaker’s positive wire. Tried turning the radio on and off again, The blue light remains on. The manual says to splice into the blue wire in the back of my aftermarket head unit, but I’m pretty sure it’s already hooked in with something else. Can you spice in another (3 writes together)? Any more ideas? I’d appreciate any help, I can’t figure it out 😢

When using the Blue wire (the REM wire) to turn on this powered subwoofer, you should not connect it to a speaker's wiring. This wire should be spliced into a wire that is always active when the vehicle is running (and not active when the vehicle is not running). We recommend disconnecting it from the rear speaker's positive wire and doing what's needed to extend it to the dash to be connected to trigger wire. I have this under my rear seat in my 2020 F150. CLEANNNN install. Curious, has anyone every replaced the woofer in this for a more quality option that produces a little better punch and depth? I was wanting to do that but not sure if it would yield much difference. I know that I have heard subs quality and price level show amazing differences. Thoughts?

The Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-10 has a 20A fuse rating so it would be okay in most hybrid models unless you're planning to add other aftermarket amps.

The amp built into this subwoofer will not power any other drivers. If your radio is not able to power the speakers, then you will need to get a separate amp to power them.

I just installed this and tapped into the suggested front right speaker wires. Everything looks good. Sub works but it barely hits... I mean BARELY hits. I have to put my ear over the port to actually hear it. I have played with the settings, phase shifter, gain on unit, bass boost on unit, gain control knob via remote. This is the second pair of speaker wires I have tapped into and its the same. What am I doing wrong? It almost sounds like zero bass has been added, but I can hear it firing.

It sounds like you have connected it to the proper channels (as long as there is no separate sub in the stock system) which means that technical support is needed to troubleshoot the issue. Just over 23 lbs. And the difference is which way it is angled. the 300-10t is for trucks, so the front is angled back. the 300-10 is designed for trucks, and the back is angled forward.

It doesn't NEED a LOC. It is capable of taking a direct speaker level input. However it probably sounds best with a line level input so a LOC is always a good idea.

"down to 35hz" based on what? That's such a loose statement. I want to see a graph. The box looks small. Sure a 6" sub can go down to 35hz but at -30dB which is a meaningless statement. I want to know how flat the response is and I know I want to know where the -3dB point is

...and you're probably the only person in the world looking at a $300 all inclusive powered sub that cares or even knows what all those specs mean 😂 I mean this thing is probably not gonna satisfy you if you're THAT into car audio... I've had many awesome sounding, elaborate scratch built systems over the years... now that I'm a little bit older I still want good sound but I don't have a ton of free time and over $1k to spend to design and build a full custom system. I'm going to work with the stock system for now & I just want a super simple solution to add some halfway decent bass, that's where this type of product comes in.

@@austinalba4176 Yeah it's this one with the slanted back. I think it's awesome for only 300w. Of course it doesn't quite compare to my previous system, an alpine 10" type r 500 RMS with a matching amp and upgraded deck. But since I'm older now, I like keeping the classy stock look. Now I have a lexus is with an amazing mark levinson sound system...the only weak point was the stock sub. So I disconnected it and hooked this up. Literally no comparison. This sub took it to the next next level. Rap and R&B is mostly what I play...but also electronic and rock. I just had to fiddle with the gain to get the level to match my speakers just right (a tiny bit above minimum FYI). There is also the bass dial, which I mounted under my steering wheel by my knees. I keep that about halfway, or else the bass is insane. I set the low pass filter dial or whatever to almost max, so it takes over pretty much all bass frequencies from the other speakers...best way to do it IMO since the sub can handle up to 200hz

Higher than 50% is trunk rattling craziness...and I can just turn it down whenever I want
