How to change leaking drain valve bucket washer for a Breezair, Braemar or coolair evaporative cooler.

Thanks Lindsay model ES 105 DV-R I have inspected the hard wired loom all ok removed and tested main control pcb all ok starting to suspect wall controller or water level sensor any advice very much appreciated.

tarseal1 I’m leaning towards the wall control, if you disconnect the water sensor and power off the unit, re start unit and enter into cooling mode if the pump starts straight away it can’t be the sensor. The water sensor starts the pump and if not connected should not start pump and you should get a code 2 fault.

gidday. Lindsay had any experience with a breezair when the pump wont shut off and runs continuously even with the controller completely off

tarseal1 what model is it and is it a hard wired control or remote. Either way try drain if it’s a remote control or if it’s a wall control push the up and down buttons and see if that works. If that’s fails I would also try turning off power for a few minutes and see if the control box resets it’s self. It could also be a faulty wall control. Lindsay

Hi Lindsay I have a Breezair EM190DV and the dump valve stopped working. Just staying open. Does this usually mean the whole valve needs replacing or could it be just one of the solenoids? Any way of telling which one? Thank you!!!

Grant try removing the top like in the video and lubricate the drain if this fails the drain could be faulty, the drain would probably require replacing.

Hi mate I have this model Breaner lcb350-g and the drain valve is always remain open and the water goes to the unit and then go straight through the drain valve and the unit wont start on cooling but only on vent. I tried cleaning and manually pushed down the drain valve and then it started working but after few hours it stopped again and when we restart it the water is not staying in the unit due to the opened drain valve. What would you recommend? I will really appreciate it Thank you

un plug the drain valve from the control box and gently lift the top off. Spray some lubricant on the cam switchs and put back together. See how that goes some times they just need a bit of lubricant. If this fails it may require replacing.

Lindsay Schafer thanks for the quick response mate. When you say replacing do you mean replacing the washer or the whole drain valve? From where can I buy this things like lubricant or valve washer etc? I will give it a go tomorrow. Thank you so much.

Just lift the grey top of by prying at the tabs on the side of the drain, just some RP7 or a little bit of cooking oil, anything just to lubricate the cams. Give that ago first before you replace the drain valve.

Hi sir, my drain valve keep open and close ,it cause the water can't fill up to sirtain level to hit the sensor. How am I going to fix this problem?

Hi Lindsay, I cant get a hold of an OEM flexible 3/4" male to female water connection flexible hose from Ebay that connects the water outlet to the water inlet solenoid valve (out of stock)...would any 3/4" male to female water flexible hose from bunnings do the job?? Kind Regards

Can’t see why not but I think you will have some difficulty getting one at Bunnings. Have you check the Seeley international site they should be able to supply one unless they have taken their sales web site down.

Cheers Lindsay, I'll check the Seeley International site first and see how I go..if they dont have any maybe they'll direct me to a place that may have the after market hoses.

Would depend on location but normally at least 4 to 5 years
