Eddie was definitely not the first, but he was the best. And Hackett is awesome, tapping or no.

Tapping was done in the Spanish style long before rock was invented.

Eddie never claimed he invented tapping by the way. But he was the first to use all the combined guitar techniques to create a new sound..can you imagine Hackett creating Eruption? I don't

Terry Kath was tapping in 1968. I'm pretty sure Terry was the first to do this.

Les Paul did it before both those guys!

Van Halen was a bit overrated, people were playing various styles and ways before him.

Van Halen is way overrated. The only reason why he gets any interest from people is because of the 80s running him up the wall. People can be ignorant of history and forget about the others like Steve

He never said he invented the technique. But nobody did it in the way EVH did. Or with the talent he did. Overrated my ass.
@mr.brenman2132 Жыл бұрын
@@aj.2004 Absolute nonsense. EVH took guitar to another level and inspired millions of guitarists.
@mr.brenman2132 Жыл бұрын
@RUSH 2112 They weren't playing like him. Stop calling everything overrated or underrated. Steve Hackett did not play like EVH. Stop it.
