Check out Minerals found in Balmorhea TX and Camping in Fort Davis. Always something to find along the road.

It is great to see you posting again! I FINALLY got out to west Texas and found a nice chunk of Balmorhea blue. I found it near the front gate of the lake, actually. Oh,fyi, don't go on the other side of the road near the Mountain. They don't tell you and it isn't marked but it is contested land...learned that the hard way. hehe. I only had one full day to rockhound, sadly, but found enough to make it a worthwhile trip.

Wow, that’s cool. You did better than we did. So glad you got out and “played rocks”. Everyone says the Balmorhea blue is gone, but you proved them wrong. That’s nice to hear. Happy rock hounding

Hello! I love your channel! I’m going out to Texas (marble falls/ austin area) would you perhaps have any suggestions where to go for fossil or rockhounding while I’m there? I haven’t been out there so I’m really clueless where to start. I plan on watching all your videos this weekend and binging out to them. Thanks again!!

Unfortunately Texas has so much private property, that unless you get a local ranchers OK, they’re really have closed up all rock hounding. That’s why we started going over to New Mexico. You used to be able to find some out by Alpine. If you want to just look and not touch, you can go to the big Bend fossil area. So glad you like the videos, thanks for watching

@@pennyramirez2524 thanks so much for the response. I’m more than willing to go to a pay ranch I just honestly don’t know which would be my best bet. Thanks again!

There use to be a few paid areas but so far all of them have closed. We still haven’t found any places allowing rock collecting. Many are now cattle ranches or deer hunting and they don’t want people on their land. Best of luck on your hunt. I wish I had better news. Sorry
