Extensive gravel bars near Columbia Point Park make for an easily accessible urban rockhounding destination. Just cross under the US-182 highway and you're there!

I grew up hunting agates on Bombing Range Rd in West Richland in the 80s. That's before all the growth and paved roads

Great video! Its nice to see you outside, looking at rocks! Not that your faceting videos arent wonderful! Its hard when your eyes arent trained for the rocks, and when they have a coating of river sludge on them. But it was a beautiful area and a nice river walk, on a peaceful day. And you did find some cool rocks!

I go to the flume and fir alot west richland is good to where they are doing the construction.

Been out to Fir. I looked at the Flume on satellite and geologic maps and it looked promising but I wasn't sure if there was public access.

Thats all protected land. theres a sign at the entrance saying no digging or collecting artifacts
