Just an FYI if before you dopp the stone you grind just the smallest amount on the very edge on the side that you dopp it will keep it from cracking and chipping while you cab it. and on another note to get an even height of bevel on the edge lye it flat side down then lye a marker on its side while turning the cab while touching the point of the marker it will leave a prefect line around your stone so you will know where to grind the stone down to.

Is that better for reducing material loss than reducing grit time at: Start to Finish; or finish to start?

About a million years ago there was a cartoon of a toothpick factory that made one toothpick out of an entire tree. I think you did a lot better with that excellent cab out of that one rock.

Great Job on cutting out those pieces and getting that cabochon made. They don't all have to be big. It is nice to see different techniques that help me to become better at this craft. Keep up the good work!

As you were cutting it, it reminded me of a petrified fatty piece of beef. But on the same note, it was so cool looking I think you should do something with all the cut off pieces too.

I have always wondered and this would be an awesome example to do this with... Is to shape both sides and simply frame it in silver/gold/brass or copper. Like a lens or monocle you could hold to the light if you understand what I mean ;-) That would do its true beauty justice. Like your stuff ... Keep it coming 👍👍 😎

Wally from Ontario Canada. Just got back from Scott Beach. It is truly amazing. Agates all over the place. Brought back a big 5 gallon buck of Agates. I wanted to keep going, but a rounder storm stop us. Any how, thank you for showing me this Awesome place. Thank you , Thank you , Thank you. NOW WHAT TO DO WITH THEM. WISH I HAD YOUR EQUIPMENT. I will find someone in my area or in a school. I have to see, whats inside. I love everyone of them. Jeading to Murphys Cove, then to Cape Breton. Hope I find something amazing there. LOVE FROM ONTARIO CANADA. Your the best

I am a Rockhound and gold prospector, and have a few really nice pieces you would like. I think you could really make some great pendants with them. I live in Michigan and have found some really nice jasper as well. Great video my friend! I will send them to you for free. All i ask is, if you like them - please do a video on them and let me know what you think of them, and if possible make a small pendant for my granddaughter. I also just subscribed to your channel my friend. 👍

Nice shine on that finished piece Jason. As for fracturing, I don't think that's unique to or just the BoF pieces. I'm always amazed at how "damaged" raw pieces are; which unfortunately severely limits what a person can get out of them!
