Tammy Thanks for doing this request. This song was the only hit these guys ever had and it was popular around late July and August of 1969 during a time of 3 historical events in the summer of 1969. Neil Armstrong's moon landing in July and the Charles Manson family murder of Sharon Tate and others and also the Woodstock music festival in mid August. The song is kinda scary if they were predicting our future but it's catchy and memorable at the same time. I was only 3 years old when the song came out but I've heard it many times before on oldies stations and even in the '70's. I looked up info on the song on the Billboard' s Top 40 charts in 1969 so that's how I found out the info on it.👍🎸🎧

Yes, the song definatly makes you stop and think about what life will be like 100's of years from now. I love the song, but weird how they wrote the song and some of these things he wrote about are already happening.

Great, iconic song Ken which had everyone talking when it came out, I was 10 so I remember it well, kinda scary sounding but cool at the same time.

The scary thing about the lyrics in this song is that some of these predictions of the future have already happened like test tube babies which they make a reference to that in the song. Also about losing your teeth and eyesight which can refer to nuclear radiation or even old age in some people. Other reaction channels have reacted to it before and some of them say the song kinda scared them if these predictions do eventually come true at least some of them. This song must have been even scarier hearing it in 1969 since we could barely comprehend the year 1980 let alone the year 2525.

@@Ken-vk8pb So true! But I have always wonder why they do like 2525, 3535. 4545 and so on and then they go to 8510? Thank you for mentioning the references in this song, I did not know that the teeth and eyesight were about nuclear radiation.

@Ken 1966 Just think, this song was written 9 years before the birth of the first "test tube" baby, which was in 1978 in England.

@@RockinReactionRollers Yes, I don't know why they mention beyond the year 2525 since they were way ahead of the year in the title of the song. I just had to assume that losing teeth and eyesight was about nuclear radiation but It could mean old age in some people. Like I said in the last comment that people hearing it in 1969 could not even Imagine the year 1980 or 2000 back then now were into 2023 but some of these events like test tube babies has already happened in 1978 in England but hopefully the rest does not come true.

@@karenduell1027 Yea, That is the scary part is they were right about predicting test tube babies in 1969 but how could they have predicted that in 1969 just 9 years earlier.. This song makes you contemplate what our future world may possibly be like which is terrifying but hopefully we never see it in our lifetimes or our future families generations.
