It'd be insanely cool but probably ridiculously impractical if there was a mod that allowed you to place a ton of different items with a ton of different combinations onto walls, ceilings, or floors dynamically. Similar to how you can place multiple candles on a single block to change their model, you could place any combination of books, glass bottles, meats, potions, knives, diamonds, emeralds, gold, flower pots, paper, etc. onto a block and the model would change dynamically to include it. So you could have a stack of books, some papers, and some potions, or just a huge stack of books, or instead of just "Hanging cod" you could just hang any combination of fish from under a block. This would be an unfathomable amount of work without coding your own system for it though.

this would never be vanilla. mojang has a rule against adding furniture and hanging knives dont make sense since knives dont exist in minecraft.

They dig their own hole by not adding stuff like that..

@@Wolltazar that would be pretty efficient considering the core gameplay is about digging holes. if minecraft had furniture items you wouldnt have to design your own and thus the base building would lose depth. a work of art is defined just as much by whats not included in it as whats added in it. a masterpiece is made not when the artist has nothing left to add but when theres nothing left to remove. minecraft has already been all but destroyed by feature creep so i dont see why you would want to add even more feature creep.
