​@@dnmstarsi Well at first glance this shows how disastrous egoism and foolish pride can be. If he had gone with X all this could have been avoided. But the truth is the Repliforce had always aspired to gain independence from the humans. Sigma knew this and that's why he visited the General in the beginning to persuade him to act against them, so the Sky Lagoon disaster was just the perfect excuse to mobilize their plans, but they had not anticipated X & Zero being much more powerful than them, culminating in the destruction of the Repliforce. So all this conflict was inevitable really.

@@alxxz According to the story, Repliforce couldn't merge the trait that upholds justice & has a fighting spirit and the compassionate trait into one reploid so they split it into 2 reploids, Colonel and Iris. I'm guessing Colonel didn't really understand X's intentions, but Iris may have understood it if she was there.

But you can't blame X for that-- after what happened with Colonel, Double's betrayal as well as what Sigma did with his subtle talk to General, even if he had nothing to do with their all choosing to go "Maverick", who can blame X, considering he was the basis for all Reploids? And even if Zero brushed it off, X knows even he could go Maverick potentially, even with what Dr. Light had him go through before Dr. Cain found him. Even Zero has that potential, given he was the progenitor of the Maverick Virus due to it being in his systems when Sigma awoke him unintentionally, and how it fused to Sigma to grow into the Sigma Virus.

Cause Japanese people do take these kind of things seriously, and act the voices as if the histories were a serious work of art, whereas in USA, companies seem to take them less seriously, as if animes were just childish cartoons. From that point X plot was more geared towards him growing more numb to killing, meanwhile zero's is about himself questioning himself and his goals. It would lead to their final fight at MMZ but some changes were made and copy X took the place

@@rafaelferreirasantos7819 I know his line of wanting Zero to kill him if he becomes a Maverick is suppose to be a foreshadowing of X's fall from grace in Mega Man Zero before they changed his villain role to Copy X, but even within the X4 story itself, it's very barebone and his insecurity of being a Maverick come absolutely from nowhere in the ending.

I have a headcanon line of events in which, Zero was the one dealing with Colonel and Iris while X went straight to the satellite weapon to try to convince General to stop, or fight and defeat him if it doesn't work. Kind of as a stand in for me to make sense of all events at once, since in the game, one route happens to the detriment of the other. So, things work like this in this non-canon line of events: After X and Zero both defeat the 8 Mavericks, it is discovered that Repliforce is attempting to run to a satellite at outer space that just so turns out to be a weapon of mass destruction as well. Fearing Repliforce may use the weapon against the Earth, X and Zero receive orders to board it and neutralize it. X goes straight into the satellite, while Zero goes to the space station to prevent more Repliforce soldiers from traveling to it. Zero fights Colonel at the same time X reached the center of the satellite and fights Double. X kills Double and moves on to fight General, defeats him and finds out Sigma is the one behind it all and moves on to confront him. Meanwhile Zero fights is forced to kill Colonel and after the battle, finally boards the satellite and attempts to regroup with X, only to find Iris in the same room X previously fought Double. Zero fights and kills Iris, and is disheartened by the turn of events, and due to his rage and depression over having to kill the woman he loved, is mentally broken, while X battles Sigma and defeats him. Both X and Zero leave the satellite before it blows up. X talks with Zero about the events, begging Zero to kill him should he ever turn Maverick, at which turn, Zero screams in rage at X (more out of frustration over everything that happened, killing Iris the woman he loved, and the possible prospect of having to kill his best friend creeping up on his mind over X's plead not doing him any favors), with Zero doubting if X's dreams of harmony between reploids and humans is even possible and should even be pursued, and the two sides should just search harmony in separation (kinda like Iris's belief). X howevers uses talk no jutsu to attempt to bring Zero back to his senses during the time period between X4 and X5, and he succeeds to an extent. However, Zero becomes even more extreme and merciless in his hunting of Mavericks as a result, which could lead into a proper X vs Zero in Megaman X5 over the increasingly psychopathic nature of Zero and the whole plan of spreading the Sigma Virus all over Earth to attempt to trigger Zero's true personality and purpose to take him over taking advantage of Zero's current mental state. I actually have a very long list of personal headcannons I made for the parts of the story that are just not outright told, are obscure or just doesn't make much sense, such as the X vs Zero fight in the good route of Megaman X5. Sorry, I just can't picture the two of them fighting and weakening each other over Zero becoming stronger when under the virus's exposure but still retaining his personality while there's SIGMA HIMSELF OUT THERE!!! Or even how exactly is Zero there all fucked up after the fight with Sigma if you fight him with X, like, dude didn't even showed up, and he obviously didn't get that broken from his fight with X.

Even the plot didn't changed a lot in Enlgish translation, it's true a lot of important things about characters were missed, after seen zero's part i understood a little more Repliforce and yes, MH are kinda paroind with the irregular thing, that's why I think X5 was more clever doing some mavericks being just tired of any hint of rebellion is considered as dangerous I really wish Capcom give a chance in movies or an anime to develop this topic

So in this game, X is not voiced by Sephiroth yet at the time. FF7 and Mega Man X4 were both release on the same year and yet FF7 don't have any voices at that year because it's still new in that era.

I think the game was re-leased as a collection for the PS4 & Switch some years ago that featured enhanced higher resolution FMVs. So who knows how Capcom up-scaled all these shots?

The English dub in this game is terrible because the dub was done in Japan by foreign voice actors based in the country. Some of them aren't even actual voice actors by job profession. Same thing with the OG Resident Evil 1 which is arguably worst because the actors in that game aren't even actors as they are just expats living in Japan at that time.
