When Gene Simmons sings, Kiss sounds very heavy. And when Paul sings, Kiss sounds hard rock or glam metal. But this song is amazing and powerful.
@thegunslinger88063 жыл бұрын
This was probably the heaviest album they made in the 80's, they would never sound this badass again, mind you I liked crazy nights for the hair metal but this album had that proto arena metal sound.

One of my top 10 Kiss songs for sure along with I love it loud and creatures of the night would make my top 25 Kiss songs the whole album is so underrated should have been one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time especially in the 80s Eric Carr just beat the hell out of the drums on this album good hard rock from Kiss no one's been able to duplicate this drum sound sense
@NeroticNoob5 жыл бұрын
They kept promising a return to their rock/heavier sound for the previous 3 albums. They finally delivered. If anything this album "over delivered". Unfortunately, by this time many of their core fans had said fuck it and abandoned the band.

Vinnie's sound was just not "Kiss" like, and the album suffered. With age it started getting the recognition it deserved. It is certainly way better than the 80's and pre Revenge era of Kiss.

he played nothing, zero; it was mostly a bunch of studio guitarists, Steve Farris of Mr.Mister (of all people) and Vinnie in some tracks and most of the solos. Ace was there for the promotional video of Love It Loud, the front cover-artwork and that's about it. COTN was basically a Paul, Gene, Eric power-trio album.

I read somewhere back in the day that Bob Kulick did some of the guitar work on Creatures (and on the new songs that were added to the Killers album). Vinnie (and apparentely a few others) did the rest - sadly all Ace contributed was his face on the cover :|
