I never heard a Tracy song I didn't love. Some artists have beautiful songs, but some songs have Tracy and his voice is just flat-out made for Country! This song will break you in half and fold you over and step on you, but his delivery makes me want to listen over and over! Great request and hard-hitting but awesome reaction!

A guy local to Western North Carolina, Kirk Roth, penned this song and “Can’t break it to my Heart “, another Tracy hit. Always loved this and other songs by Tracy. Pure country….

Roger, as I am from N. Central NC, I'd like to say a personal thank you for letting me know about the song writer. I will research Kirk and if I can't find anything, perhaps you'd be so kind as to refer me to a specific site where I can learn more. Thanks in advance!

@@carolinasbeauty hi! I have never met him, but he is from Eastern Burke County from my understanding. Glad you liked the song.

After a little research, I found that he attended East Burke High. But I think he is from Oklahoma originally. I was close.

100% recommend you have the right to remain silent by a perfect stranger. It's beautiful to a T. Nothing but 90s country pureness

It's all been said below. This is another terrific song from a great artist of the 90s, and wonderful to hear your reaction. Thanks Roger Smith for reminding me of this one, and thanks Don for your honest reaction!

This was never released to radio as a single, but it's a great song. Lawrence had so many great songs on his albums. He had the kind of albums where my brother and I would sing along with every song. It was difficult to find a bad one. So much so that I sometimes forget which ones were hits and which weren't. I was recently listening to "From Here to Kingdom Come" by him and was surprised when I researched and found it wasn't even released as a single. It's a fabulous song.

Don you have that right about listening to certain songs and going back to a point in time. When this song came out I felt like Tracy Lawrence was standing back watching what was going on with me and then thought this may be a good song. I went through the same thing. She left and still to this day have no idea why. Good request Rodger.

Wow, what a great song. I'd forgotten about this one. But I remember hearing it on the radio back in the 90s.

I have a very diverse taste in music. One of my sisters likes only country music. She's opinionated on that, and likes the traditional country. I like the old and the new country music. Someone I was talking to, around 2 years ago, said that today's country music isn't really country music. There is so many influences to music, that it will rub off on different genres. That's what I think. Thanks for sharing this reaction video. Cheers! ✌️

@Dwayne Wladyka I like some Nashville country when I'm in a rowdy mood or don't want deep lyrics. Both have a place in my world, just like you.

Nice request from Roger Smith. Enjoyed the song and the fact that it made you emotional. As concerns your sisters' reactions to your attitude towards the type of country music, I mostly enjoy the traditional but do find a good bit of Nashville country appealing too. I am also glad that you make an effort to control your "potty mouth"; there are reactors out there who really go overboard on curse words.
