FIXED!! 2011 Ford Edge Rear Door Sensor

Thanks, this worked perfectly on my 2013 Ford Edge. Saved me over $500 if I would have brought it to the dealer to fix. I can confirm the driver rear door switch wire is green. I found the colour for the other wires online. white - passenger front ajar switch green/violet - driver front ajar switch green - driver rear ajar switch yellow - passenger rear ajar switch

One suggestion. First, it worked perfect, but I cut the green wire down closer to the door jamb (front of door), next to a grounded bolt on the door. I stripped the green wire so I could then attach it to the grounded bolt, by loosening the bolt, then inserting the bare wire under the bolt, then tightened the bolt. It worked perfect and I did not need to use an additional wire lead like you did farther back on the door.

So.. i did this with the front passenger side door and now my battery keeps going dead. But the door ajar light is off. The relay/fuse box makes a clicking sound when i teied to start it. Had to jump itbto get to work

Read manual and pull out doom light fuse, no wire cutting needed. Plus if you decide to use door sensor again just replace the fuse.

Pablo Perez you may have turned on your interior lights. There’s a button by your headlight knob that looked like an upside down sunset. Push that and see if it works

Bballfuries I used 14 gauge, I wouldn’t go any smaller but 12-14 gauge would work.

You can just turn the dome light of with switch and drive with the door ajar light. My reason for wanting to fix this issue is because due to the fact that the dome switch is off, my car is always dark when i get in. I fuckin hate it.
