Nice video. I love catching big trout on jerk baits. After topwater it’s my favorite way to catch them.

Look's like the Fourchon area. Some 20+ yrs. ago, we used to head west & fish the rocks @ Bird Island. Those days are gone. Good video.

WOW!!! That fast action will wear you out quickly but there isn’t a better way to get worn out that I know of. The last time o fished “the barges” was 2010 and we were wade fishing. I’ve gotten wise since then; I no longer offer myself as shark bait 😅. I have friends that let me know when they are biting good and big size. You two seem to be doing a great job with them on this trip.

Great little bite there at the end. Sticking it out paid off!

Awesome fishing trip & very kind of you to take a coworker fishing. Which marina do you launch? I’m looking for decent place to launch & park the truck/trailer. I’m not sure the public launch is a good option.

That little fish that the trout spit up early in the video with the sucker fins is a clingfish (Gobiesox strumosus), very common on oyster reefs and rocks. Not parasitic, but trout food

Is that the “we fishing guy”? I like him. I thought jerk baits were cool weather lures?

No, different guy.

Jon have you ever thought about getting a little wider boat there?
