Yea a rock tumbler and a slab saw would earn you some money here Arnie. You start a channel...start doing that on here. You can sell all the stuff.........and make a living. If you are into that...you should do it. That Kinsley North Lapidary company online has all kinds of machines to polish and saw stone. They even have sphere makers that make marbles from stone and agate..people would love watching that and seeing what the agates turn out like as marbles..WOULD LOVE IT ARNIE

Along the shores of the Delaware Bay we would look for Cape May Diamonds, naturally tumbled and polished Herkimer Quartz Crystals traced back to the Catskills. Historically, King Nummy of the South Jersey branch of the Lenape tribe sported a huge transparent one.

You need to look for Paleo Sites in those bays in that area. There was a big clovis culture presence . It will be just like the Ohio river back in those bays. The erosion is just like it is here. As close as you could get. You will see the native layers eroding out of the cut banks. You need to start looking around. You get on clovis sites over there. it will get some major recognition.

@rockscousteau 19 күн бұрын
Id say that is a River Cobble Chert. Well....I know it is. It is a pebble that has a tan or gray waxy cortex. And it is gray chert on the inside. I see it all over the place. The material on the Ohio River from marietta to Wheeling......because of the gravel outcrops with cherts in them....has some of the best material on the east coast of the us. There are jaspers.....locals cherts...river cobble agates....Flint Ridge...Black Kanawha...Crooksville. Nellie Chert. Upper Mercer. And then there are some exotic material I dont even know. You will see it all here...I am digging a bunch

I agree with Cynthia Swearingen. Looks just like all our quartz down south. It's quite common to find it polished like this in gravel beds along creeks, and i even found some on the Atlantic coast beach in N. Carolina. I found a streaked, mostly clear lije glass, Native American point made from it years ago, but it got stolen from my house when a small group of young people were visiting.. :/ Ive enjoyed this series a lot while youve been on this site you discovered. Great stuff. And you deserve it: you've thoroughly educated yourself with that area over the years, and you definitely put the consistent work in. No substitute for that! Some might say luck. I say it's when preparation meets opportunity. Nice job 👍

I have done pans in places. The only place I can find gold here is in the huge gravel deposits....and all the gold is laying on the baseclay in like a deep tan and maroon layer....with all kinds of black sand. I will probably do videos on all that too in time. I can find gold. Easily

Outstanding examples from incredible artisans. Good finds. That might be some pale Citrine-in the quartz family. High grade will flake similar to flint. I know a place in the Tennessee/Georgia region that literally covers the creek beds and surrounding terrain and occasionally you'll find points and tools made from it. It's sorta vitreous and looks like flaked milk glass(closest description I can come up with.) Thanks, Rocks.

Well....Id say 3 or 4. You can tell the differences in the makers. A few of the people there had styles. Early on on my channel...I got into a place where I found like 20 nice ones like this spot in a month. All nice. All fell out of the bank in one spot. Id say all of them were even hafted...all together in a dwelling. And the river flooded....it was something like that. And it all got buried. And made a time capsule. If the spot I was on....was excavated by someplace like Ohio State Universtity. It would be a BIG DEAL. I am just scratching the surface on this place.....and look how much I have found in July. I made all these videos in the last 10 days. Found all this stuff in 10 days

Yes. The guy in Florida can restore anything. From crocks. Broken marbles, Bottles, All of it. Type "Arrowhead Restoration Florida" into a search engine like Bing. "Gomers Lithic Art restoration" is the name of the place. If you have nice stuff like this point. it is worth doing. I get this restored and then try and sell it .... $100.00 at the least.

How much do they charge to repair a tip or barb?
@rockscousteau
@rockscousteau 19 күн бұрын
Well for the tiny piece of a clovis base it was like $30.00. And after you do a few points....you get deals on bulk. Lets say you send 30 points. They may charge like $21.00 each. It depends on how much damage as well. It the tip is gone and both barbs it may cost $50 I dunno. But it is worth it on nice pieces. That have a little damage like this point. It increases the value. And just picture this with the barb on it...it would be MIND BLOWING. So Ill have to get it fixed.

To be honest man. I personally do not know what to call it. (The Material). There is so much Agate/Jasper/Chert/and stuff like that in the river gravel. Almost every point I find on this stretch of river is made of something different. From Flint Ridge to some exotic agate. it is there. And that is crazy.
