Saw him on a Solo tour in the 90's! We pushed our way up to the front and leaned on the fence while he did a cover of darkside of the moon with him singing all the lyrics. Everyone lit up their lighters and it was just dark, still get goosebumps thinking about how magic that moment was.

James Tetrick sounds like the same tour I saw him on... when he was solo, opening for Metallica.

Why is it he's only nominated for Grammys 8 times? Isn't time to stop? He deserves the recognition of the RRHOF. An the 8 Grammys he so rightfully deserves!

I love how no one in the crowd cares even remotely that one of the most devoted and talented guitarists ever is on stage in front of them jamming. I guess they'd rather go listen to Kesha than hear someone with true talent and devotion to music play.

I think they have no idea.

I've always loved his style. But his groove and timing is what makes him really special!!

The fastest way to learn guitar is to pick one up and fkn practice. There is no 'fast way'. I've been playing 28 years and I still learn every day.
@coldmaster10344 жыл бұрын
Same. I play for about 10 years and I am learnin new things everyday. Practice is everything.

I just put down my guitar after a hard time on Rocksmith. I don't know if I have the temperament to ever master this god damned instrument.
@riotpolizei35227 жыл бұрын
Buddy, I hear you. I had a moment of extreme frustration while trying to learn "Over Now" by Alice in Chains, which led me to make space between myself and my hobby. However, for every let down, there's an upbringing! As I picked up my bass afterwards, I learned how to play "I Stay Away". It was like a breath of fresh air, and really revitalized my desire to press on with playing my instruments. Hang in there!
@osorissalgado38315 жыл бұрын
Derek JCG Just enjoy it.Dont try and master it.No one can master the guitar.But you can have fun learning and playing.
@patrickc.mcevoy20655 жыл бұрын

He's improvising, and the game supposedly follows your beat and rhythm with other instruments, creating like a practice session, very nice, huh?

@ 1:52 surely he meant to say "Xbox" to get the voice command to listen to him, which would clearly prove it's being controlled backstage with the illusion that he's controlling it onstage... but it's naive to think they'd do a live presentation any other way.

If Jimi Hendrix had these games available to him when he was learning, he probably would have played them... Terrible examples. Especially with Slash. Slash is a character. Not anyone that the virtuosos worship.

Slash is a living legend on the guitar. You sound like a salty little fan boy.

You're being pretty silly, man. I'm sure most of these guys would be more than happy to see Jerry Cantrell in his native environment (playing with Alice in Chains, that is) but this was at a video game conference, and everyone was hyped to see new videogames. Jerry Cantrell was standing inbetween them and video game announcements. If they announced a new video game at an Alice in Chains concert, most fans would be more excited about seeing Jerry Cantrell than the new video game.

Oh if I had been there I would climb on the stage to hug him :)

So i'm assuming the devs assign the keyword themselves for their games so the Kinect understands you're about to tell it something. I've never used Kinect in a game before.

Jimi was famous for pushing the boundaries of technology and having new kit designed to try and re-create the sounds in his amazing brain, however he's dead so nobody can tell him anything. ...and Slash isn't real, it's just some guy in a costume.

Because he's obviously an Alice in Chains fan and thinks Jerry "sells out" by doing video game promo to sell his records. Well, although I get that I still think it's pretty cool.

“Rocksmith is the fastest way to learn to play the guitar” I bought this for 60 bucks. Save that money and try Ultimate guitar tabs they are much easier to learn and you can play anything you can think of. I bought Rocksmith and tried it and songs I knew were near a impossible to follow it’s like playing a even harder rockband and guitar hero because take those five buttons and multiply it by a hundred and you got this game it is just a waste of money just buy Ultimate Guitar Tabs you will thank me later.
@Berbs736 жыл бұрын
I fuvking love Jerry, but this is way too contrived. Money controls everything. Even our rock stars.
