so how does this pick up your acoustic guitar? is it just through the mic you have? i dont have an electric acoustic, if thats what they are called. i also have an electric guitar but what would i plug it into?

I think you missed that is was tuned in Open A. You need to tune up D to E. Also the note by note is great. Happy playing !

Thanks for the review Mike. I did subscribe to Rocksmith + and my only gripe is the music selection. I'm sure it's great for people who like certain genres but for a 90's grungey like me it needs more selection like Nirvana, Chris Cornell, foo fighters, STP etc.

A very honest review. Rock smith+ looks great fun. I’ll give it a whirl in the new year! Merry Midwinter!

this looks fun and great to learn songs as beginners but does it teach any basic music theory? besides telling what what note the open strings are?

Hey. I don't know what Year it was when I was made aware of this Game. Probably 2014. Buddy told me "Hey there's a Game where you can plug in Guitars and play full Songs" I was super frustrated at the time. I bought an E-Bass years ago and tried to learn how to play it through KZbin Videos. Stopping the Video every time and looking at what I have to do next completely threw me off and I never got the feeling for it. I didn't have the Money for a Teacher either. So the Bass ended up back in the corner for years. I then tried out the Program (Rocksmith 2014). Once I understood the Program and in combination with KZbin learning Videos, it was like a wall that I walked through and I was so hyped. I later rehearsed in a small Band and had played Rocksmith for 1.6k hours at that point and it worked. Well, there were older People there who could play by hearing, crazy level off playing from them. It was so fun all together. Playing the Songs from your memory is also a good feeling. Now I grabbed an Guitar and am starting the journey all over again. This Game or Program and the Music saved my life. I have my problems. Grateful to the Band and my Buddy too. Keep practicing it will pay off for yourself @ll. I wish you all lots of fun and happiness on your journey. Thanks also for your Video review National Guitar Academy. It's definitely good for Ubisoft and their future Rocksmith+, for all of us. * Update * At March 4.2024 there Updating the Price of the Subscription... i dont understand and honestly, i dont care anymore. Its crazy that they doing this. They are done i think. Thats only Milking now. Instead of them releasing Console maybe.This way they could generate more paying Customers. Or implement things that are inside Rocksmith 2014 like mini games, local coop to play with someone else at home. But no they do something like that. I just watch it from a distance and stick with Rocksmith 2014.

Sir Paul McCartney had the perfect response after losing to his grandkids at "Beatles Rock Band," the video game that allows you to strum along to your favorite rock and roll hits. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the other night, McCartney expressed good-natured frustration with the game. "Are you kidding," he told Fallon, "it's very hard!" He said every time he plays against his grandkids, they kill him. But McCartney isn't phased. "I just tell them," he quips, "I wrote that song!" ...

I would imagine you can play the notes wherever you want on the fretboard as long as they are the right notes.

This game would be the #1 game in the world to learn guitar on but the audio delay ruins it completely and there is literally no way to fix it on PC

never played it but could you turn direct monitoring on your audio interface and turn down the ingame guitar volume?

I have been playing RS2014 for 7 years off and on. Problem with Rocksmith is that you learn chords pretty well on Rhythm mode, but you don't actually have to memorize anything about a song. If you just play this like the "real guitar, guitar hero" game it is, you won't know how to "play" any songs. I find myself in that predicament. It isn't like you can't slow it down, jack up the percentage skill, but lots of songs are too complex for that guitar hero interface. Something that becomes self evident in tablature, like an arpeggio, is really complex on that flying note display. You don't see what the chord is until it is too late, if you even have time to recognize it at all. If you want to get practice on strumming and playing chords, this product is good. If you want to learn how to shred or play more complex arrangements, I would say find a guitar teacher.

Now it’s out on the PS5 it’s still a con, it’s missing so many features from RS2011 and RS2014. 9000 songs most filler next to no killer. £120 a year and you don’t own it they can take it offline at anytime, vpn required for certain songs. They missed the chance to outdo RS2014 but they completely fudged it, no 7 or 8 string support, not 5 string bass, no online, no multiplayer to name a few. In its current state this application is really really bad.

It’s for noobs. You have to pay for literally anything on there and I realized it’s just trying to teach super below basic stuff. If you know nothing about music it’s fantastic. I can play anything I want without a robot trying to recommend notes when their notes end up being so basic.

How can you call yourself a guitar travher that was so easy and you butchered it Jesus
@wechselschlag22965 ай бұрын
I knew someone who learned Guitar by listening and couldn't get along with Rocksmith at all. The difference is, are you trained on visuals, perhaps computer games from all the years. Or have you never done anything like that? You will have a hard time. I can slowly imagine hitting the right strings just by listening. You also don't know whether he was given a specification to produce the video in a certain time and so on. Someone who learned differently than we do today with all the possibilities. That's how it is. In return they stomp you into the ground the old school way. The other videos are very competent.
