I love the type of reviews you do. Not only did you review an issue but made a video about how you are trying to fix it and test it to see if it worked. I ride horses and atvs. New to atvs and the first thing i noticed was not being able to talk to the people you are riding quads or sxs with where as a horse is very peaceful. I also know how to train and maintain a horse much easier than taking apart any one of the components of a powersport machine.

Thanks Adam, glad you enjoy this type of content. I’ve been riding ATV’s for along time. My sisters use to have horses when I was a kid, rode a few times but haven’t been on one in probably 15 years or so.

Glad to see grease going back in that primary. Many on the forums and facebook groups push the greaseless setups. They just do not work well around here. I believe the grease acts as a seal keeping the dust out. Tried greaseless on a wolverine in the past and 50 miles into a ride in northern nh the clutch would get bound up due to packing full of dust.
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
I’ve always ran factory grease in all my Yamaha’s, Never tried greaseless. It’s tempting obviously just because of the mess during a service but sounds like it’s not a great idea with your experience.

I have always been a Yamaha fan !! Would love to see a new grizzly 850 or even a 1000cc quad !!
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
Absolutely! I would have bought another Grizzly if they went bigger after I wanted to upgrade my Grizzly 700. Went with a sportsman 850 at the time though.

Swap out the stock springs for a full kit from bandit and you'll be seriously impressed
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
I might do that in the future but for right now I’m pretty happy with it.
@rizaptor7005Ай бұрын
@@rockspowersports look at the upper springs on all 4 shocks, I'd be willing to bet they're almost fully binding at rest. I was happy with mine also, but the transformation for the $ is more than worth it.

Surprised you didn't service your secondary while in there? 1600 mile intervals per Yamaha.

I was in a hurry as we had a ride planned as soon as I got it Back together. It’ll be back apart soon enough.
@jacoblongoria8367Ай бұрын
You gotta do all that to get to the belt? Kinda seems like a pain especially if you’re out on the trail! Regardless though love your content brother keep sending it!
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
Much harder to replace a drive belt than a Polaris/canam/Arctic cat. On the Yamaha you most likely won’t need to replace a belt as the wet clutch usually goes bad before the belt
@jacoblongoria8367Ай бұрын
@@rockspowersports yeah I have a ‘21 ranger and it’s a breeze but I usually throw a new one on in the spring just for kicks when I do spring oil change and grease.

Brute force! look forward to that and a test drive, always wanted to try a 750, rode a 650 and it was really great!
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
The 750’s are pretty impressive, especially after getting off the 650. The 650’s have great power for the size but.. the 750 is a noticeable difference.

Can't wait for the next video. Will see how loud it is after the insulation. You going to cut those things by the door? If you do film it. We went out riding other day got 6hours in was fun.
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
My wife likes them when she drives so unfortunately I’ll leave the door things on for now. And awesome, that’s a good days ride!

I have thus utv. It is so hot 🔥! Almost unbearable in south Georgia heat here! Another this it's loud as hell! Like he said you have Hollar at each other. Sad bc they are literally beside you. Thanks for video

Could you imagine if they put that engine in the grizzly. That would be insane

Best thing for cab noise is a good full face helmet
@williammcclain676Ай бұрын
I bet it wouldn’t be near as loud inside if you didn’t have the front window up and that rear plastic on the back. All that engine noise bouncing off those. Just my two cents

I tested a canam 1k utv, couldnt believe it stayed at ~7k rpm at 30 mph. I would have a utv if it had an actual transmission like a yxz/talon

Yeah my can am maverick was loud as well. My Polaris rzr turbo was very quiet in the cab compared to these.

Hey rock i notice you using the rotella t6 , is that a diesel oil and should i use it in my 16 rzr 900s vs polaris oil . Is it that much better at $60-$72 a gallon
@rockspowersportsАй бұрын
It’s completely up to you, I do like the fact that polaris oil has the 5w50 weight. But yes I use Rotella T6 5w40 in everything I own, it’s around $25-$30 a gallon depending where you get it.
@classicxlАй бұрын
@@rockspowersports Not here across the boarder it isn’t walmart and Canadian tire have it on sale for $60 a gallon. Regular price is $72 that’s why i asked is it worth it . My 16 rzr 900s has almost 7200 miles and want it to last a long time so if t6 is a lot better then polaris oil then i would use it
