The essential arc of the story is going from Janardhan seeking heartbreak & pain to get recognition to Jordan at his lowest, with all the recognition in the world, begging that "Whatever happens...My heart shouldn't break" In the beginning, he will go to any length for that pain. By the end he is willing to go to any length to save himself from it. Remember, he doesn't drink and only does so with Heer - after the hospital scene he is showing up drunk to numb the pain. The look the old veteran musician ( Ranbir's great uncle and legendary actor Shammi Kapoor) gives is of concern - he knows the sheer talent of Jordan but sees that he is self-destructing. The movie is highly symbolic and poetic - the cruel joke is even after losing Heer Jordan keeps on becoming more famous. He is at a point where he doesn't care at all about it - but has it in abundance. It's like the western concept of "selling your soul" - Jordan "trades his heart." Almost like a deal with the Devil, unlimited fame & adulation for unlimited pain and heartbreak. (guys ye mera khudka comment nhi ha btw)

the reason that the actress’s performance is not the best is because she’s not an actress she’s a model and she did some modeling for a jewelry company and her pictures were all over India and the director of the movie saw some of the pictures and he wanted her to be in the movie and he contacted her agents and she told them she’s never been in movie before but the director insisted and wanted her in so she agreed.

Some facts about this incredible album by AR: 1. There are two songs in the end fused together viz. 'Tum Ko' and 'Tum Ho'. Former is the song from the actress' point of view while latter from actor's. Hence, Tum Ko is sung by Kavitha Krishnamurthy and Tum Ho sung by Mohit Chauhan with those angelic hummings and soprano-esque voices by Suzanne D'mello 2. AR featured some international musicians in the album. The groovy Sadda Haq featured drummer Oscar Seaton and guitarist Orianthi. The gypsy type song, Hawa Hawa featured violinist Ann Marie. The song right after it, Aur Ho features Alma Fevoric who regularly collaborates with AR. 3. Multiple genres of music displays AR's versatility as a composer, you have Sufi music in Kun Faya Kun, the Indian classical-western fusion in Dichotomy of fame, the gypsy-flamenco-european music inspired Hawa Hawa, the Punjabi folk music inspired Katiya Karun, the disco transitioning Phir Se ud chala, the Spanish Tango inspired 'Tango for Taj' and of course everything centered around rock music with AR bringing his signature string arrangements and amazing chord progressions in different songs like Aur Ho, Tum Ho/Tum Ko and some places in the background score.

In the end Jorden realised that his love is within himself. He found Heer inside him, he didn't need her physically to love her that is why the song lines goes "tum ho pass mere sath mere tum yun.. Jitna mehsoos karun tumko utna hi paa bhi lun" which means wherever he feels Heer he gets her love and he made music the route to reach her inside him. And at the beginning it started as "yahan se bohat dur galat aur sahi ke pare ek maidan he wahan milunga tujhe" and in the end he did meet Heer in that "maidan" which is inside his head and heart. The burning guitar signified that Heer died but you can see there is water dripping but the fire goes on which signifies even if Heer died His love for her still continued

The blur part was Free Tibet . As china has illegally occupied Tibet since 1949 and Tibetans were forced to exile in India in the year 1959. The colourful flag u see is Tibetan national flag. So the song title “put our Right here” was also calling china out to give Tibetans their right to their national. This was pointed out by Chinese authorities and Indian government that time asked the film maker to blur it. To not cause any political and diplomatic unrest.

Ranbir should be studied in universities for his acting skills. Man he really need even more recognition than he is getting now. I'm also worried if he'll be consumed by the heavy characters he take on in the movies. I hope he doesn't. We need more such performances from him. National Awards lost its recognition when they didn't give it to him for Rockstar.
