For the first time ever information about previous Outlaw Pass was removed from Red Dead Online. Does it means that there will be no more Outlaw Passes in RDR2 Online and Rockstar will replace them with something new?

With the Halloween Pass 2 that was leaked on reddit, they then had removed that & the whole community had to figure out what was happening, all in all it turned out to be true so maybe they are teasing us with the Outlaw passes? Never have hope though, or expect it. As a player from January, I personally would love them if they Did this, even if they don't I still love online, their might not be any content but me & my friends make our own content and fun online! 😊

Arthur suit, John suit, Bill suit, Javier suit and all those pamphlets at fence for having more space for ammo and fast travel for temporary camp in the beginning were rewards of old passes

Releasing old passes, bringing back limited clothing and maybe even make clothing used in missions or on NPCs available to players would all be very easy things to do to make players happy. Heck, they have entire special horse coats, that were only available for npcs or in story mode, that they could easily put on sale for players. Not just that but removing the stablespot limit or at least adding more and allowing more outfits to be saved are also things they could do, with basically no effort, that would be a very welcomed addition to the game. All of these things are already stuff they have programmed, designed and animated. If they don't have the resources to release new things, why not at least add those.

This is why I play on the redm server as I have all the cosmetics already available to me plus there are no limitations on what I can wear for example I can wear a coat with a poncho on top if I wanted with consoles it's too limited pc is the way to go if you want a good online experience that actually gets updated

Besides, does a year of drought and little communication seem like they are planning something big? You can say they are unpredictable but that's not an excuse nor is it a reflection of what already happened. I'm hoping that at least Outlaw Pass 2 and 4 would return because those are the passes that have Arthur and John's outfits and those were some outfits that I was really looking forward to owning. I know John's outfit and Arthur's summer outfit are available at Madam Nazar for 52 gold bars each but I also want some of the other stuff that was added with it like the buckles, gun belts, holsters, cloth wraps for weapons and other stuff like that.

That's possible but you forgot to mention that cash is not purchasable in the store but gold bars are. So it wouldn't matter that much. But Rockstar wants new players to buy gold bars so it's more profitable for them to add the Outlaw Pass 4 & 5 since they cost gold bars.

Well can't you buy everything with gold ingame, as in pressing the left trigger will switch to cost of the item in gold equivalent? A $1000 ammo pouch would effectively cost 40 gb & that alone is that same price a the whole pass. R* could bet on more profits from players who are inpatient enough to earn ingame cash. Or fence items cannot be switched to gold payment and my point is invalid.

I'm a year late, but this year I purchased Halloween Pass 2, my first Outlaw pass I ever brought. Rockstar needs to bring back & rotate the passes every month, like they do with events. I hate that I can't get any of those items since I didn't play Online a whole lot back then. I understand that RDO is not like just buying a one time purchase and play story mode, it's an on-going effort and expense for Rockstar to maintain and update. It makes sense that i should be continuing to invest in it if I'm continuing to play it and expect those updates. I wouldn't be thrilled about a monthly subscription but a scheduled access fee for maintenance makes sense. I mean, Rockstar would need to try a hell of a lot harder and actually listen to their community to earn it but I'm completely willing to spend money to keep the game going.

I honestly think a free to play model with new paid content that generate cool cosmetics and or skills is the way this game needs to go. The fact the online portion in its current state is not free to play is baffling. I understand this is about revenue. But at this point the current community can't keep it afloat alone with new content. You make it free to play you could Garner a player base that may try it out and get into it and then make purchases. Alot of games use this model and it actually pays out. Why they haven't tried this model and they literally are hoping this game dies is beyond me. So much potential.

I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't they just re-run the old passes on a yearly or so basis, if they don't add brand new content anyway. What might have happened I think is that they somehow messed up the whole "Club Rewards" system be adding the Halloween Passes on top of it, so it's now the top "layer" and bringing back the old pass would require some headache and actual work to bring them back without removing content that was added afterwards. Perhaps this is also why they only ever brought the newest pass that was active.

I think there were 5 outlaw passes that had around 100 levels each. You had about three months to level up and when you reached max level you got your gold back. Then you had 2 Hallowe’en passes that had about 30 levels each and you had around a month to level up. You didn’t get your gold back with them. Then there were 4 Quick Draw passes that had around 25 levels each. Once again you had about a month to level up those and you didn’t get your gold back for them. It’s been so long since I played that I forget the details, but it’s roughly accurate

Such a dumb model. I understand a small amount back. But the gold model is what screwed this game. Gold should only be able to be bought or earned at a very very slow rate. Make the base online free to play. The roles charge idk 15 gold's bars that are either farmed or purchased with the obvious money route to be way faster. You just need people in your product, playing. The rest will come. Lots of free to play are super profitable....

Ok, R* has provided players with a heads up, they signalled in the summer that they were putting RDR2 on hold. The absence of Outlaw passes is just the last nail in the coffin, time to move on folks

I think they’ll eventually just take everything out of the game slowly so the player base gives up on playing that way they can completely abandon this masterpiece of a game. So sad

That's messed up! Luckily I bought the last pass back 2020 and just now decided to play RDO but couldn't purchase the newest pass? I see now they removed it. Tbh.. The pass was kinda lame but still something to get since I like rdr2 regardless.
