There's a bigger picture here though that this video isn't addressing. Buzz has talked about how him and Dave were friends and one day Dave changed his number and dropped contact with him before he ever said anything. He talks about how Dave then only ever hit him up to drag him out in public for what he felt was 'punk credibility' then would go silent afterwards. I get people grow apart but to not even be on any terms with someone that helped you get to where you are for absolutely nothing in return is pretty messed up on Dave's part.

Dave is Ok, but I just don't get the mega fame he enjoys. He was the drummer in Nirvana and Kurt is much more famous, and Foo Fighters has a handful of good songs. Dave has no business rubbing elbows with the very top musicians in Rock, but somehow he is always in the middle of it. To me, he comes across as someone that sold his soul in which Kurt was the price for it.

Well c'mon, how much fame do you need? Nirvana was a massive band and he definitely had his part in their sound, I don't think their music would have had the same impact with a sloppy drummer, Foo Fighters were big in the 2000s and still are as a touring band, he plays all the instruments (watch his "Play" video), had a s**tload ofwell-known songs with his current band and has collaborated with everybody from the current US rock/metal scene to Paul McCartney himself. As a fan I agree that his media presence can be a bit too much when they are coming up with a new record or project but that has been the same with Metallica and every huge band with charismatic frontmen that are not afraid of the public ...

So he sold out to the very thing he hated and it got him fame to the point where he finds himself in the middle of everything. Once you have that kind of fame, it's hard to speak out about the things that go on in the industry, because you risk losing it. I don't dislike Dave, I just think he's done some things to get where he is that many people wouldn't like.

Dave is an “easy target” for a lot of hate simply because…well….hes been at the top more or less since Buzz hooked him up with Kurt and Chris. To me,…the thing is…Dave KNOWS damn good and well how lucky he is….and that’s evident in the way the man conducts himself. He’s humble. He’s charitable. He’s cool with fans 99 percent of the time…he’s a good dude.
