I grew up in the suburbs of the Twin Cities. I was a city kid but now, this is the stuff that I wish I did before my MS diagnosis.

This brought back many good memories of when I went on a week long canoe trip out of Ely, MN in the boundary waters area with a college group. We also heard a lot of loons, did some fishing, had many portages, and did lots of paddling, some against large windy lakes. It was so much fun! I don't remember bugs that bad though, but it could be because we went in early September or just don't remember with all the other exciting things to do. I know my trip wasn't in Voyageurs NP, but very close to same type of area. Thanks for going to this park and sharing. I enjoyed your video very much.

The best time of year to go to Voyageurs is late August or early September. It might be a little cooler, but the bugs are usually gone!

Minnesoda! I had people ask me, back in the Air Force, if I had lived in Canada at all. I was no, I grew up my entire life in Minnesota.

Not sure what the guide told you, but you were cliff jumping and looking at pictographs in Ontario... that was not Voyageurs National Park.

Those are coyotes, not wolves, at 7:58…

Where exactly are the cliffs around 5:50 min? Is that right at the end of cruiser lake trail?

Nice video but those were largemouth bass you caught not smallmouth and you had clips of coyotes not wolves.

You guys go backpacking without any real food, then blow your permit and poach camp because you can't make it to your reserved site... Fun video. But please stay out of the rest of the national parks.
