Hi Chris, I had a completely different reaction to this soap, than you did. I got the freeze within moments of putting the lather on my face. The cold completely numbed my face and, as I mentioned, it lasted about 4 hours. It freaked me out. It felt like my face has been anaesthetised. A very interesting, non reaction you had. A great shave, never the less. I enjoyed watching. All the very best, sir.

Oh yes, our experiences were quite different. I think that's something folks should consider. Experiences can vary rather dramatically. This is especially true of how we perceive scents. Have a great day Mark!

I really like Terror myself. I have the first release and I read many opinions from folks that it wasn’t freezing and I agree. The scent to me is woody and would never guessed you would like. Happy it was enjoyable to you. Great shave.

This year’s release of Terror is in the Soft Heart but that logo you pointed out means Excelsior, no clue why it wasn’t changed. Well said about DK. DK keeps it 100 at all times and is a man I highly respect. Nice shave Chris, the 6S is a legend.

I think we have 2 different soap bases between our sets of Terror. I don't know if that is why we had different reactions this time or if it's just a different skin situation. Chris, it is indeed a 6S, but only reaches the exhalted status of 6Shady if it is mix and match colours. DK's is in Raiders black and silver. Thanks to Marion, mine is red and blue.

There is something about scent perception that not enough people understand. It is very common for two or more scents to combine and therewith spark a scent memory, which is very often what makes us smell things that the producers may say just isn't there.

Great shave, Chris. Who knew that Terror's cooling agent didn't work across the board? (Have you ever tried Noble Otter Orbit? It too uses a synthetic coolant and is also a great scent.) But this is why you do the shaves. And given your non-reaction, I withdraw my recommendation of Terrorade. All the best.

The synthetic cooling agent has mostly not worked for me. I got legit cooling from it one time from a Murphy & Mcneil aftershave, but that's about it. The regular menthol works far better for me.

Appreciated the Live with Peter last night! Always entertaining that guy! I have to say though, I believe he may be making a mistake bypassing the oils idea. I believe they would be tailor made for his new unscented soap. I understand he doesn’t like to follow but if you do it right we all win. Another reason to follow the brand. Marketing 101. There are a few different kinds of synthetic menthol, I think. I have not tried Terror, but Noble Otter Orbit also uses a form of synthetic menthol and I, personally, do get some cooling, even if not as much as with regular old menthol.

I think you're right Lee. The one that really worked for me was in one of the Murphy & McNeil aftershaves. That one worked well. Most of the others haven't worked too well for me.

I've been thinking about getting Terror for a couple years now lol! 8 really like the label. There was a show on AMC called The Terror. The 1st season was a drama loosely based on the actual ship HMS Terror and its sister ship HMS Erebus that were trying to find a passage through the Arctic. Pretty good show btw, check it out if you ever have the chance. Have a a good one! Steve

nice shave but not an ice 🧊 shave . cool razor but for me that head looks pretty big . but still a good looking shaver . b&m stuff for me can be a bit hit and miss . but the quality is always very good . have a great blue weekend brother 👍

The blade on this sits high, so all the bulk is really on the underside of the blade. So it's not really difficult to get into tight spots. I hope that makes sense.

Nice blue shave Chris. Razor looks great in blue - I have not tried the 6s. Is it a bit bulky to deal with or not so much? Compared against something like a gamechanger. It was a good "real talk" yesterday with Peter.

It will feel bulky compared to the game changer but it's not really hard to maneuver. The blade sits high and all the bulk is below the blade. So in a place like the stache area, it should not be an issue.
