Forest River builds a much better unit than Ketstone by a longshot. However the build quality from most mass produced RV manufacturers has gone done a lot since the early 2000's in every aspect. We have owned a Forest River unit and now we are in a Keystone wishing we were back in a Forest River unit.

Does the floor construction methods date back to at least 2012? We are buying a 2012 8311SS. It has a small section of floor in kitchen that is damaged... looking to find out how it's made before i tear into it. Thx

In 2012, the floor was a laminated construction that consisted of aluminum framing and cross members and compressed foam sandwiched between pieces of luan.

Has anybody had towing problems, ie: fish tailing? Where are the holding tanks located, ie: fresh water tank, black water tank, and the grey water tanks, on a 2608 BS camper trlr?

Yes, I've had the problem of fishtailing with my 2020 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2608 BS trailer and I've been curious about the design. I know there are several variables to consider: crosswinds can cause sway, gusts from tractor trailer rigs going by can cause sway, incorrect tire inflation, poor trailer design when there is too much weight behind the trailers axels will give it a natural tendency to sway. There seems to be too much weight behind the axels towards the rear. The fresh water tank is definitely located behind the axles and it holds 60 gallons @ 8.345 lbs. per gallon adding 500 lbs. to the back of the trailer. The black water tank from the toilet holds 45 gallons and one of the gray water tanks I estimate holds 45 gallons. Both are behind the rear axel and would add more weight @ 8.345 lbs. per gallon depending on how much is in them. Rockwood needs to revisit the design of this model. The Rockwood sales brochure states "Our Ultra Lite series offers lots of room and amenities while still being a 1/2 ton towable Travel Trailer" We've towed this trailer with a 1/2 ton truck and got a lot of wiggle and sway, and felt very unsafe. An anti-sway bar helps some with a 1/2 ton but not much.

Are the side walls 1 inch or 1 1/12 inches?

The walls are constructed with 1” closed cell block foam sandwiched between ¼” substrate on each side.
