She did sing the song, every night on stage. Richard only sang it once for the movie.... and he did smash it to be fair. People need to let things go after 46 years lol (p.s. I love PQ)

She had apparently recorded her vocals for the film version of the song, but O'Brien's voice was used in the final cut unbeknownst to her until she first saw the movie. But she DID sing it in the stage version, and I'm sure she forgave O'Brien and actually thought he did a good job (which he did, of course, since he wrote all of the songs).

I love Patricia Quinn. The one and only. She didn't have many speaking parts, but is in most scenes. She made a perfectly bitchy Magenta. Luv this woman!

Like many others, I adore this woman and this song. You can tell how much she enjoys singing it in the way she sounds slightly sad as the song reaches the end. She is Magenta and people can try, but they'll never be as good as Patricia Quinn. x

In 1991, I attended a performance of Rocky Horror on the West End. Anthony Head was Frank. Craig Ferguson was Brad. Since that night was the anniversary of the original production's opening night, Patricia Quinn played the Usherette, and Richard O'Brien played Eddie. At the curtain calls, there was a birthday cake, and everyone sang Happy Birthday to Rocky. Everybody was taking photos of the ceremony, including the cast. I still have my snapshots from that night.

Well, if you understand that when she first sang this for the Rocky Horror Show, she was at least a few years younger, and if you listen to the original cast London recording from '73, her voice is a few tones higher. People aren't going to sound the same 20-30 years later, and take note that she probably signed on to do this last minute and probably hasn't had vocal lessons in years, if she had any at all to begin with (some people are just naturally gifted or just never sign on to get them)
