1. My favorite of the Rocky movies. Rocky IV is almost as good as this. 2. Where I lived had that pinball machine and I kicked the shit out of it. (Top 5 scores) 3. Micky's death shakes everyone. 4. "Eye of the Tiger" was from a band called Survivor. Their other hit was "High on You". 5. The woman swooning over Rocky that Micky chases away was Sly's wife IRL 6. Kudos to Mr. T for playing a man with absolutely no redeeming qualities. 7. IRL Clubber Lang(and his ego would be back. In movie land, been there, done that. 8. RIP Burgess Meredith.😇 9. Even though Clubber was the antagonist, I respect his drive and hunger for the title. The fact that Mickey knew he could defeat Rocky based on his civilized he had become is truly a testament as to how intimidating Clubber is as a fighter.

The big blond wrestler is Hulk Hogan (real name Terry Bolea), probably one of, if not THE most well known professional wrestlers in the US in the 80's and 90's. One of his most famous (supposed) feats was slamming the 400+ lbs. 7'+ wrestler "Andre the Giant" in the 80's. His popularity faded in recent years when a racist phone call of his was made public and with his public support for Donald Trump.

This was originally going to be the final Rocky movie Sly said he wanted the story to be where Apollo and rocky become like brothers showing that there cut from the same cloth and the story comes full circle but with this movie being huge when it came out the studio told him make another one

I do sympathize with Paulie, to a degree. I can understand him feeling like Rocky kind of left him behind when the fame came. This film made the careers of Mr. T and Hulk Hogan. Mr. T's mother got pissed at her son when he took her to the premiere because she 'didn't raise (him) to act like that!' Hogan's wrestling promoter, Vince McMahon Sr, forbid Hogan to do the movie, and fired him when he did it anyway. When the movie turned out to be a huge hit, Vince McMahon Jr hired him right back.

@5:25, in real life Paulie (Burt Young) was an actual very accomplished boxer who could have beat the living crap out of Sylvester Stallone whenever he wanted. Lol so insulting his build is kind of funny. Putting on a few pounds and taking a back seat to the star of the movie is kind of what makes actors great, isnt it? Movie magic.
