I watched this movie several times as a little kid in the 80's. 40 years later, i still feel a pain in my heart over the loss of the Legendary character, Apollo Creed. RIP Apollo and RIP Carl Weathers.

Dolph Lundgren (Drago) actually put Sylvester Stallone in the hospital during the shooting of this film (unintentionally), Stallone was telling him not to pull punches and he hit him hard in the chest and cracked his breastbone. Dolph is a really nice guy who had a pretty messed up, abusive childhood and apparently at one point earned a Fulbright Scholarship to MIT.

Dolph was also a Kyokushin Karate competitor with a 4th degree black belt, which he started training at 10 years old. I don’t know what Sly was thinking

The most inspiring and "lets go" moment in ANY movie EVER made, is in this movie: "He´s cut. He´s worried. You see, you see. He´s not a machine, he´s a man!" That line tells to us: You can fucking do it. Just give your all. Btw. Duke is the greatest trainer ever in any movie. He is the guy, the one guy who will always have your back, never quits on you and keeps you pumped up and will always take a shot for You, if need. Great reaction!

I hope that was a help, it's probably something you already knew anyways. Enjoying your reaction channel as always .

In boxing, and all combat sports, death is a possibility. By entering the ring you must sign a waiver that you understand what you are getting into. I know part 5 and 6 in the rocky series aren't as highly regarded as the first 4, but I think you should still watch them at least once to get more insight into the Rocky character Love your reactions ❤
@tsv134814 күн бұрын
Actually there are completely diferent caracters; that's the ideea of this movie. I like Ivan Drago a lot, I like Rocky too, I like Apollo too. Ivan Drago is the no feelings character, no parties, no fun, just fighting machine while Apollo is a champ and a man who like parties. Rocky is a great fighter who always wants more and a man with feelings. What Rocky has and Drago hasn't is endurance. I like all three actors and all three characters. In a legal fight sport when somebody dies it is not considered a murder. But "If he dies he dies" it is so cold and a great line.

The best movie in the all franchise including the Creed franchise . I love the Montage in this movie Hearts On Fire, Fun facts: During the filming of this movie Stallone asked Dolph to really spar with him. Stallone ended up in the hospital cause Dolph punch him so hard he moved his heart . Another fun fact Brigitte Nielsen the actress who plays Drago wife was the real life girlfriend of Stallone during the time of the filming. :) . You should see Dolph Languren movies like The Punisher 1989 (The best Punisher movie ever made), Universal Solider (With Van Damme), Showdown In Little Tokyo (With Brandon Lee Rip Bruce Lee son) , I Come In Peace (A great underrated sci fi action horror movie). Also Masters Of The Universe Dolph Languren as Heman.

Rocky started using old school methods on Drago because he knew that he was a prize fighter and not a street fighter along with the late great Muhammad Ali's "Rope a dope". 1) Unsure Drago couldn't understand why he's not fallen like the others. 2) Perplexed that Rocky won't stay down. 3) Impatient because he can't figure him out. 4) Frustration because a younger, stronger 💪🏾 fighter like him can't put the older one away and finally all out anger 🤬 he just stop caring to some degree the words of his trainer, the people and the political figures in the arena.

Rocky V isn't as good as the previous entries, but it's still worth watching because it does act as an epilogue to the events of this one. Plus, the sixth Rocky film, "Rocky Balboa" kind of redeems it too later on.

A quick google search shows that a lot of boxers have died in the ring like Apollo did, but I'm guessing you rarely hear about it because most trainers will probably throw in the towel before it ever gets to that point, but it does happen. I think the reason Ivan Drago got away with it, along with other boxers that have in real life presumably, it might be because they may have signed consent forms prior to each match. I know in professional boxing that a lot of fight promoters will often have fighters sign contracts agreeing to such terms and receiving x amount of money for their services. I can only assume that within those forms is a part where each fighter has to consent that they're in the ring of their own free will, and that they're willing to absolve each other of any damages sustained in the ring. Namely, if a fighter dies during a fight, then they can't be held liable for their actions. It would make sense honestly because you know you're going to get hit at some point if you're a boxer. And if you punch someone, you have no idea if you're punches will end up killing a person or not in the ring.

I’m so tired of people telling reactors to skip Rocky 5. Yes it’s different and the least liked but it’s ridiculous to not watch it. Every movie series has at least one weaker installment, but that doesn’t mean it should be skipped. Rocky Balboa is a good finale to the series and when you watch it I suggest you also watch the deleted Paulie scene. The only series that I can think of that doesn’t have a bad or weak installment is Lethal Weapon. Hell even Star Wars has weak or even bad ones, Indiana Jones, and Die Hard fall victim. So bottom line, watch them all and make up your own mind.

@@goddesssalem4842 you from Russia? To be far or, the anrirussian parts aren’t..as bad. They are too stupid and funny to be taken seriously and the live does show the Russian people and even Ivan Draco has not being soulless people but people who can show moments of of surprising insight. The Russians start to cheer for Rocky while drago admits he wants to become the best boxer. The directors cut if I’m correct adds a bit more nuance to drago as I think some of the scenes indicate drago dosnt talk because he can’t speak English well and that he had more emotion to creed’s death but was pushed into giving an interview quickly.
