They’re 900 denier nylon, which is close to the top for the tightest weave you can get. They are good boots. They saved my life up Blue Bend on August 13. Which is about a month ago now. A big yellow phase timber rattler shot right out underneath my feet on the trail over there.

Thanks for the review. I have always wondered if I should get a pair of snake boots being in the woods all the time. I was always debating getting boots vs the snake chaps. I’m gonna check these out and watch those snake guys videos. Thanks again guys.

You're welcome Chad. I had always wanted a pair, but never took the plunge until this year. I really never worried to much about snakes when I was in the woods, always had my side arm and a walking stick. Was very cautious when I was walking in the summer. Now I have some assurance that I am protected, still have my side arm and walking stick, but I don't have to be so slow walking in. Of course, I know areas to really keep an eye on when walking in the woods. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Juddie - J & J TOA

Chaps are always a good added insurance, because rattlers can strike above the knee. While most usually strike around the foot and ankles, they are capable of striking above the knee.

I’ve hunted bow and late season rifle with these boots… they were waterproof for 3 years, but I still wear them because of the comfort. I may purchase a new pair this year.

So far we have been very pleased with them. We have wore them turkey hunting in the spring, all through bow season and even rifle season this past year. They are very comfortable for sure. Doug, they are awesome boots. Wore them all hunting season this past year. They are very comfortable for snake boots. Matt, I think you would like them. Where I work the inspectors, and of course some office staff could order snake chaps. I don't even know if they allow us to order snake boots. But with me planning on retiring by the end of the year, I couldn't order anything through work. So, when Jerod got his pair, I took the plunge and ordered a pair and for about $150 +/- it isn't a bad deal. They are very comfortable, and I like having that assurance that I am protected somewhat. I still am cautious while walking in the woods and making sure I check my surroundings, but at least I know if I miss something I will be protected. Appreciate you watching and commenting. Brian, we also have worn our Muck boots for the past few years. Of course, during the late spring, summer, and early fall I like the idea of having these snake boots. Thanks Rick! I know all these years I have wanted a pair, I have been lucky that I hadn't come across any snakes during that time of not having them. But I was always cautious and looking for them. That isn't to say that I am not cautious now since I have the boots, but I like having that added security!! Brenda is doing much better now. Al, during the late spring and summer, even into early fall, when I am in the woods, I am always on the lookout for them. I have been fortunate that I have never really come up on any. My hunting buddy and I both have a set of Danner snake boots and we love them! We originally had the Rocky snake boots. Both of our Rocky boots leaked. Our feet actually would get wet from walking though wet grass going across a field. Hope yours does better then ours.

So far we haven't had that problem, but you never know. We will just have to wait and see. We have been wearing them each time we go into the woods and I am pleased with mine so far. I cheaper out ( who would have thought😂) I went to do some snake boot shopping and found the Academy brand for $89 on sale. I walk a lot and the Academy brand boots are extremely uncomfortable! Blisters galore. A lot of times I just wear regular boots. Gotta stop that! I’m gonna shop for a pair of Rocky’s before hunting season! My brother in law has Rockies and now your saying the same. Mike, I wore mine all through bow season this past year, of course our season comes in at the end of September, and I wore them until we left for deer camp. Thanks Jason. I as well hate snakes!! Especially those that I walk up on without seeing them first!! For 40+ years I have never had snake boots, but I was always very careful while walking in the woods. Also, by being very careful, that made for a longer hike into the woods because I am being very cautious where I step. Now with these snake boots I have an added assurance of protections. Joe, I am sure you can run in these boots. Even though they are tall boots that come up on your calf, they are very comfortable, you really don't notice it. As for mud, Joe, when the time comes, we will see how they do. I don't want to purposely go tromping through a mud hole. We will be wearing these during bow season and maybe even rifle season depending on the weather temperatures. So, we will give them a thorough shake down. Thanks for watching and commenting. Thanks Dan. We haven't treated these boots, yet. I know other boots that we wear we do treat them. I have used the Camp Dry, I think that is what it is on some of my boots that aren't all leather, and then where I do leather work from time to time, I have some stuff for treating leather that I use. If i did kill big buck this year put Venison on Table the Way my blood pressure goes up thin i wood ben in Trouble in woods no phone Service or single i hunt were there is no phone service that’s about everyone some time people gots phone service but were i hunt there ain’t No service will haven’t checked on my hunting blind for all most year it may not be there anymore because of all this wind storms we ben having this year and i don’t like feeding them deer’s anymore Once you feed the deer and They keep on coming in to the feed if you stop feeding them They always ripen on you to feed them all time but if you stop feeding them they may go somewhere else to get food or they can walk long Distance to get to your feed and Nothing there sometime they Die Hunger and thirst that’s why i don’t feed anymore i wood like to but it takes money to do so 💵 make my own feed its healthy then store feed you don’t know what’s in the feed the way stuff is now in this world you never know but have good weekend be safe

As of right now Joe, I don't need to make any arrows. I did a dozen of them last year for Jerod, Big Al and myself, so we are good at the moment. No, we haven't found out who, and probably never will, but I did contact the park ranger and reported it.
