I think the accountant tricked Paulie into getting Rocky to sign the “tax extension”, he knew Paulie would be dumb enough not to read it and that Rocky would trust Paulie. OR: Paulie was in on the scam that went bad and knew exactly what Rocky was signing. Either way, the fact that we’re talking about it so much is a testament to how off Rocky V is and how it must be in the national discussion more often than it is.

Well it is possible that Rocky could’ve not read the document, he did say that he wanted to think about nothing except him (Drago)… if we assume he signed them when he was in Russia…. Good point by Kyle, Adrian should be overlooking this stuff😏

Either the accountant tricked Paulie or the accountant and Paulie tricked Rocky. Either way, it’s still such lazy writing.

They explain it in the office. “The piece of paper Paulie had you sign was not an extension on your tax returns, it was a blanket power of attorney in favor of the accountant.” How and why Paulie got the letter is the question.
