Yeah Rocky Miyako is classic training pianist, she started to play piano at age of 3. She is influenced by Russian composer Rachmaninoff. She is 18 years old when she picked up the guitar for very first time. That time she heard about Yngwe Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert. When she plays slow solos that is coming from another guitarist which she admires a lot Richie Blackmore from Deep Purple. Watanabe Miyako is born on 5th of April 1990 year. She is amazing pianist and composer. And you can see to play guitar like that just for 12 years practice that shows how big talent is she. Actually like the other members. So much talent. Out of this world. Thank you for your reaction, and now if you got chance to find more videos my suggestion is Signs of deliverance, Rise some hell, Scream for me (here they've got something special for you guitar dwelling),. And in the end from last year concert Daughters of the down the song Epilogue. I'm already waiting for your reaction and comment. Stay safe and stay metal.

I believe they are the best band out there these days. The level of musicianship is off the charts. But what makes them so amazing is the creativity of their songs. They come at you on so many different levels, that one song sounds like 4 or 5 different songs but they make it blend perfectly. Their songwriting skills are amazing.

The songwriting, arranging, performance and skill are far greater than just about any other live band. When I hear a new song, I often ask myself if it will be remembered in the future, and especially by music fans who haven't been born yet. I think Lovebites has a chance to be one of those very very few bands, but unless they can get a toe-hold outside Japan, those fans will only be Japanese.

Yes, Miyako is a classically trained pianist. I suggest you take a look at the songs Edge Of The World, Empty Daydream and Signs Of Deliverance. That should be the next phase of your Lovebites journey. They are all indeed, very talented. Asami the vocalist has a little dable on Piano in the song We The United. What a wonderful song ... if for me perfection in music exists, this might come very close ... Right now "Electric Pentagram" is the current CD in my car. I never skip over any song of the album, they are all too much joy to listen to. But sometimes I cannot resist to replay a song several times ... Swan Song is one of them (as it was the case earlier this evening on my way back from work). The thing is, that I had to wait since the mid 80s, when I as a teenager discovered Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ronnie James Dio, Saxon, Metallica, began to love Metal music and never stopped, until I feel that obsession again with such an overwhelming piece of awesomeness ... I'm utterly Lovebitten now ... ;-) And I completely agree with your reaction ... Lovebites seem to be not from this world, they are just too good. They deserve much more attention. Here is the context. Miyako (bona fide trained concert pianist - her primary instrument is actually piano; guitar is her 2nd instrument) plays Chopin's "Revolutionary Etude" Etude Op 10 No. 12. Chopin's piece came at around the time of failed November uprising in 1831 in Warsaw against Russia which was occupying Poland, his beloved homeland. Chopin would never sat foot in Poland again. The Etude brackets "Swan Song" with the ending outro piano piece composed by Miyako. And, you should read the lyrics to the song. It sings about the brave warriors and their death. Battle at Valhalla. It's a song for the brave who died for the great cause. This group is outrageously talented, just like the lovely girls of Band-Maid and the members of Unlucky Morpheus.

Some other folks gave you the details on the opening piece, so I won't repeat. Miyako-chan started piano as a child, and was destined for a career in classical music--then at 18 she picked up a guitar, found a book of heavy metal guitar riffs, and started learning to shred. She plays several other instruments and composes most of Lovebites' music. A Goddess among goddesses, for sure.

Forgot one song ... Empty Dreams Asami vocals and you get to hear Miyako sing. Yes, she plays guitar, piano, bass and sings. Miho plays bass and drums and Haruna plays drums and guitars. I'm not sure if Midori plays anything else or Asami, but to be honest, it wouldn't surprise me. They all have at least a song they composed, with Miyako having 80% of their songs. That is why Miyako is the best guitarist. She also said that she chose Metal in general because it resembles classical music. So, doubt we'll see her in hard rock or progressive bands but who knows. Not sure if you put any of these facts into the videos, kudos for that, great way to appreciate bands!

Well, this is more of a Neoclassical metal than Powermetal. They have this powermetal image a lot because of the technical quality, although they have powermetal songs, they vary a lot in the albums. They have more heavy metal songs, this one, more neoclassical, they have at least 5 more trash songs, others more progressive. Miyako has a lot of creative freedom in the band and apparently the band members like her songwriting.

Lovebites, in a way is a throw back (not in musical genre) to the progressive rock bands of the 1970's. Very talented musicians combining classical elements into rock music. For about the last ten years or so, rock bands, in the west have diminished due to 'easy money' groups and artists rising from talent shows. To be blunt aspiring artists and bands are judged on their market appeal and make it through to the next 'round ' based on that. When a group of musicians come along who can play and write their own music, who is interested? Certainly not the PR and marketing departments of studios, talent shows etc. Far too much investment required, better find a good looking person/ group who can be controlled and do not have any issues with 'selling out'. This is why you and others are so over whelmed by Lovebites, Band Maid, etc. An actual band who can write, perform and play to a classical trained level (in some cases) have stage presence and can entertain is a complete shock to many who only know boy/girl groups or bands who have been carefully selected and music supplied to be commercially friendly to radio stations and marketing folk.

@@marcinpopawski8199 Lovebites.....is like Dream Theater amazing talent but no emotion what so ever. They know there instruments but don't talk to their instruments they just play them. I get one is a classical trained pianist but that doesn't not mean anything. You can play an instrument all day long perfectly but if the emotion is not there your audience won't feel it. .I've heard a thousand bands like Lovebites nothing new. Break down the parts in a Band Maid song......brilliant writing and very different. They don't have one bad song. Those girls run the stage love what they do. Lovebites stands there no stage presence and boring. I've listened to about 8 Lovebites songs and none of them had me I want to listen to that again. A few I stopped watching cause it was boring. Its like Aerosmith great studio albums absolutely one of the worst bands I've ever seen live. Bands I've seen live as in Led Zeppelin, Journey, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Boston, Early Kiss pre 80's, Foghat, ELO, The Cars, Queensryche in a club before signed, Motley Crue in clubs, Ratt before it was Ratt, Van Halen.....Bee Gees are better live than Lovebites. I'll give them time.....but I'm not betting on a long term success there. Band Maid will be changing a few things in the buisness....they play, Wright and on stage you feel their enjoyment and when the band is having fun the audience does.... Been around to long and seen to many bands and finding original bands today is impossible. Every one ones to sound like the popular band out at that time....Lovebites plays well.....same as hundreds of Nightwish copy cats or Evanescence copy cats or your viking metal......I heard that Lovebites is not even that popular like Baby Metal and Band Maid in their home country.

It's so easy. Please listen to "epilogue" by lovebites. It is so emotional. I'm a progressive rock fan, I also know lots of rock bands. But these ladies are special.

Love your reaction - once again - but your headset seems to make a clicking noise when you move it...
